Has anyone seen the obnoxious "Stop the Hate" commercial on Bloomberg television? It stars several liberal Hollywood actors. Here is a letter I wrote in response to the slanderous ad. I hope other freepers who are annoyed with seeing this commercial over and over all day long will drop Bloomberg a little love note.
Dear Bloomberg TV,
You have been running a commercial repetitively everyday that tells America how we should all stop hating. It cites as fact that there is multiple hate crimes since Sept 11th. Independent studies and polls have shown this not to be a fact. If this is a pubic service announcement partially paid for by Bloomberg TV, you are doing your viewers a disservice by insinuating that all Americans are unfairly mistreating people. I've heard multiple comments by traders in various trading rooms about how obnoxious and slanderous this commercial is. I would hope that Bloomberg TV would not be a part of something like this

I haven't seen the ads. Then again, all other news channels ceased to exist, the second I started getting FNC.

I have seen that ad and it nauseates me. It is another example of the liberal "America is the root of all evil" mentality that has taken over most of the media. My family (mostly liberal I am ashamed to say) think I am obnoxious because I point this out every time I see an ad, or book with the "America is evil, caucasians are the devil" theme. Too bad we couldn't devise our own ads. They would not ever be run, unfortunately.

Its been on for months, and months, and months. It pretty much has the idea that anybody who flies an American flag MUST need some sort of reminding not to hate people.

I've seen it and was equally ticked. thanks for blasting 'em ... I sent a blast to Jefferson Pilot yesterday for their propagandizing anti-Bush stuff as "news"

Actually, it doesn't insinuate that all Americans are hating, only those who are flying the flag. Those who don't fly the flag apparently do not need reminding.

When are the liberals going to start wondering what they have done to inspire such "hatred" against them? Or is that exercise only supposed to apply to mainstream Americans?

They already hate themselves, the tragedy is they have to drag others down into the hole they dug -- thus the brainwashing, in effect, of our children.

I've seen the ad. Infuriating. IMHO the media thinks we are all so stupid and they have to show us how we are supposed to be. I don't need actors etc. telling me how to live.

Sigh. It runs in Hawaii as well. Truly nauseating.
