NOT MAKING THIS UP!!!
Hubby and I were just about to board Southwest Flight 160 from Hartford CT to Nashville last Saturday. Next thing we knew The Goron was in the gate area having his bags checked, being wanded, and then (of course) being hustled to the front of the line so he could be seated on the plane ahead of the people in wheelchairs.
Our reactions: astonishment, loud laughter, and then marvel at how nervous and self-conscious he seemed. Hubby and I settled into quiet joking and insults between the two of us--although hubby said The Goron gave him a long stare while he was being wanded--hubby glared right back at him until he looked away (LOL).
We had to walk by The Goron to get seated in the back. The Goron and his lackey toook up all 6 seats at the very front right side of the plane. (Didn't know Southwest had First Class Seating--LOL). As everyone passed by, no one spoke to The Goron either positively or negatively--we all basically ignored him, which was a little strange, now that I think about it. The Goron held up a newspaper in front of his face & pretended to read it the whole time--but he was turning the pages every five seconds and he kept one eyeball uncovered so he could look over each passenger as they walked by. It was a really wierd thing to watch.
I have to say, I actually had no desire to even make a joking snide comment as I passed by The Goron. The overall impression he made on me was that he's just another loser with a capital L , desperately wanting to be someone important, at the same time projecting no self-confidence. I actually felt sorry for him at the time.
During the two-hour flight the Goron got up a couple of times to use the lavatory (must have been drinking ice tea--LOL!!!). When the plane landed, he grabbed his lock-box and was the first guy off the plane (of course).
Hubby and I are still laughing about this. Talk about wierd karma............
Is it true that they announce that "in the event of an emergency he can be used as a flotation device"?
Get out of Cheney's Seat!
Get out of Cheney's Seat!
Get out of Cheney's Seat!

Nobody was rude to The Goron. Nobody except the flight attendant even bothered to speak to The Goron at all, negative or positive. Unlike morons like you, I was raised to understand when it's appropriate to get into it with someone you don't like, and when not to. The Goron was minding his own business, just trying to catch a ride home. He appeared to me to be a pathetic loser, honestly not even worth the effort of insulting.
You Holier-Than-Thou-Dumb@ssocrats sure like to scold others, don't you? You're also the ones who routinely disrupt public meetings with obscene language and gestures, throw blood on priests during mass, etc. AS IF losers like you had the moral authority to lecture ANYONE about "boorish" behavior.

Tslim, that is JUST TOO FUNNY!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!
In hindsight, there's about a million funny things we could have said when we walked by the Goron, but--to our surprise--both Hubby and I actually felt sorry for him and thought "What's the point to insulting this loser?"
Also, there's probably a good chance we would have been pistol-whipped and put off the plane if we had displeased His Large Hineyness. We're not stupid---The Goron wasn't worth that.
I have a copy of Barbra Streisand's Greatest hits for you if you can prove he's human.
Wow, he really IS taking good care of Social Security, just like he promised!
According to the account, that's not what happened.
Gore wasn't "making eye contact." He was staring him down, ie. being rude and hostile.
"...Whether or not you like Mr. Gore's politics, he's a human being."
Political persuasion aside, Gore is a criminal who betrayed the public trust and subsequently tried to steal an election, putting the whole country through a "six week root canal" as George Will so aptly put it. You might treat such people with respect but some of us give them the treatment they deserve.
"... making someone else feel bad... he's a human being."
Now she's responsible for his feeeeelings? According to you, it's wrong to to treat contemptible people with contempt. No, instead we're supposed to treat them with respect. Sorry, I don't "respect" Al Gore any more than I respect Hillary Clinton or Fidel Castro. And if any of them crossed by prow, I would let them know just what I think of them without pretense of any kind.
It's always open season on Al Gore and the rats. For years Gore and his ilk have pointed out how superior they are. So it's hardly "boorish" to let Gore know how you feel about him. He asked for it. By his own boorish and absurd actions.
The FUNNY thing is that Gore is riding on Southwest. What? No private jet? Oh how the mighty and powerful have fallen.
And by the way, you can't MAKE people like Gore or Clinton or any of these folks FEEL BAD. It's just not possible. If you ever met any of these types you would know. Especially Clinton, who is a psychopath.
I think you're being awfully hard on RooRoobird14. After all, he did give Gore credit for something probably no one else witnessed on that plane, namely how Gore is still working to preserve Social Security, even after losing the 2000 election.
"When the plane landed, he grabbed his lock-box and was the first guy off the plane"?
Loooooooser
