I think his email's
brian.wilson@foxnews.com (note the period). So, if your email gets bounced, you might want to try this one.

Moose said "you left us a telephone number" Maybe there is no phone number.
It's just a trick to get the cell to be paranoid of each other. One of them "might be ready to speak", but neither one knows who it is. They no longer feel safe working as a team. They choose one for a snitch, and either kill him, or turn him in.
Break up the cell team, and there's a better chance they will err.

I take exception to that. IMO Patti Ann is trying to be professional and do a good job. It doesn't cause me pain to look at her, either. I like her work almost as much as I like Dhue's. I wouldn't mind teaching her (Patti Ann) to shoot a black rifle.

I think this freak gets a real charge out of what he's doing and yanks on the trigger, pulling the muzzle down.
I'd be willing to bet he's missed a few times and no one's the wiser.

Maybe the number is connected to a cell phone that is linked to detonator or some such thing. Didn't they (terrorists)use cell phones to blow buildings/vehicles up in Israel?

"That would mean the sniper is a cop."
Not necessarily. Think about it.

That movie has been shelved for now.

To answer I was referring to Post #86. I agree that this may be a home grown person. Your point about the shooter may be forcing Moose to brag on the Virginia sheriff.
The shooter may be pressing Moose to the max. He could be saying how he can outsmart Moose and the LE and then say if you don't give me what I want, either notoriety etc., I will kill more, or kill one person specifically.
Just supposing but this is getting scary; like a real homegrown psycho. Hope they catch this guy soon.

IMHO "call me back at the number on the note" is a type of code that only the sniper would understand. It is not meant literally.

I bet he calls it and I bet he makes his calls brief so that they cannot be traced. This is only true in the movies. You would not believe the volume and detail of telco billing records, from the moment you hear dial tone. In mobile, it is even more detailed.
It is possible the shooter has such an encyclopaedic knowlege of the phone system that he knows there is a rural telco somewhere that has rudimentary/antique signaling and billing systems, but that is not likely.
Even if he left a conference number, the shooter's call in to the confernce could easily be traced. If you want to stay lost, stay away from phones.

The man was conscious but unable to talk because he was on a ventilator, he said. Wellll... can he type? Even if he could only hunt-and-peck he could communicate a lot of stuff that way.

Maybe the number is connected to a cell phone that is linked to detonator or some such thing. Oh man. Geeez. That's a really bad thought. Hope not.

If I had to translate that into German, especially given the apparent obsequious effect desired, I would translate: "Herr Wachtmeister (or "lieber Herr Wachtmeister"), ich bin der Herr Gott (perhaps "ich bin Gott")." "Polizist" may be the word for a policeman, but that's not how you address him. "Herr Wachtmeister" is like "Officer" in English. Nobody addresses a policeman as "Policeman" in English either.

How does MOOSE even know his own name. Hell he can't spell Chief without first taking a peek at his star!

I speculated last night that he's using a scope that's zeroed for ~100 yards, but he's not compensating for closer shots. However, thinking about that further, if he's aiming at the head close up, the bullet should go over the target's head, since there's not enough bullet-drop for the bullet and the point of aim to intersect at 30-40yds.

Anyone know what happend to the supper dupper spy plane that could track muzzle flashes, I thought Rummy loaned it to Moose....

Ok, how do terrorists get word to the authorities when they want to take credit for a particular act, or when they want some political prisoner released? When was the last time Al Queada took credit for anything. The closest they get is a tape sent to Al Jazera TV in the Mideast.
To: Doohickey
I wonder too, if our count is different than his. Still a 75% kill ratio seems very good for single shots.
To: Tree of Liberty
Thanks. I don't seem to have gotten a bounced message yet.
