Very goood. Moose seemed unnerved. Why would he make mention (first) of the great job that the Sheriff did last night???
To: Rebelbase
Here's what happened...the sniper called and Moose answered the phone with
this response. Then the FBI took over and had him ask the killer to call again so they can handle it
To: All
OR MAYBE...
The sniper left a note and asked them to put a certain phone number into service (maybe a phone number the sniper will easily remember or the phone number spells something out). The cops have now put the number into service and it is working as a direct link to maybe Chief Moose. They are letting the sniper know that his request has been done and it completed. Now they want him to call.

Thank you for the info. I forgot about that.

Moose said the PERSON would understand but everyone else would NOT. NO KIDDING! lol!See my #29.
To: MeeknMing
This is OBVIOUSLY the Onion because no LE would ever do that.
Rather, by not answering, a second message would appear.
To: Cboldt
Maybe he didn't... I'm sure the police know what they're talking about...
To: Lillee
I, also a lurker, agree. It's a cell phone.

Okay... But I thought the incident last night wasn't connected? It was my understanding that it hasn't been connected through ballistics, however, they are handling it as though it is connected until proven otherwise because of MO.

I can't believe the number of people on this thread that think a phone number is married to a specific location. Verizon (or whoever) could have that number permanently redirected anywhere in the globe in about 3 minutes.
Scenarios:
1. Message with fake number. Telco maps that number to police line.
2. Message with real number, nobody home. If a real number was left, the FBI cleaning service has already done a thorough job at that location. Same scenario.
3. Message had number of police, tip line, etc.
Every carrier has 24 hour staff dedicated to law enforcement for this specific purpose.

I'll bet this wasn't the shooter. Think he's going to break cover and trot on down to the shooting scene? I think it was a witness to the shooting...maybe somebody waiting in their car for a kid to get out of the bathroom or something. When the shots rang out they split out of fear.

Hey Joe! You going to start us up a thread again for Game 2? Just about that time! :-)) Can you believe we're watching Dallas v. Ariz 6-6 OT?? ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

When I first heard Chief Moose make his statement-I assumed that a witness left a number and they were trying to reestablsih contact with a witness at the Ponderosa. The media is as confused as we are-especially since Chief Moose said he would not take any questions. They have now sent out someone to clarify the situation-and she is repeating the same phrase again. The media is totally confused, hope whoever "the person" is-they understand the message.

Well duh ! Kind of obvious isn't it :o)
Stay Safe !

Spokesperson..."I cannot explain it to you it is part of the investigation"...the person will understand it.
The person who left the message is who the chief is trying to communicate with..."To the person who left us a message at the Ponderosa last night...we do want to talk with you, please call the number that you provided"...

Sheesh, reporters are dumber than hell. How many times does the spokesperson have to explain that the message is not for them to understand.
To: Wild Irish Rogue
The woman repeating Chief Moose's message, is Officer Utter-I am not making this up.
