Oscar has Passed Away

I apologize for the vanity- I am heartbroken today as my best friend and faithful companion has died. My tuff little Yorkie, Oscar, was killed last night by a coyote. The damn coyote snatched him right off of his rope in the backyard. Seems like the environmental nazi's want to keep all these killers alive so they can kill more domestic pets. He was my best friend in the whole world- his nickname was "Moleman"

Now that's brilliant logic, servant. I express the idiotic practice of people treating animals like humans, and I'm automatically cruel to animals. Perhaps you should remove your sorry ass from conservatism.

a. you don't have to appologize for a post, the vanity police are on democrats.com
b. I am very, very sorry for your loss, and send my prayers to you and yours.....

Oh now you've made me cry for my little buddy, Clyde - a white ferret with coal black eyes. It's been years since he died, and I still miss him terribly.
I told my daughters when they were very young that pets are special, and God takes them to Heaven where they wait for their masters to arrive.
I sincerely hope this is the case...

Sorry, guy. I'm not a dog person, but I can understand. If some predator got my horse, I'd feel the same way.
What I can't understand is why wildlife policy is actually promoting destructive pests (coyotes, foxes, wolves, prairie dogs). In fact, my daughter, who lives in Colorado, said that some of these have become so bold they even stalk humans. She's a police officer and has to stay in training, but when she sees pawprints (mountain lion) in the snow on the trail when she's about to go jogging, she heads right back to her car.
Isn't it time to change these policies?

I'm very sorry for the loss of your dog. A dog's fierce loyalty, unending love, and total devotion I know is irreplaceable.
The pooches I have had in my life were always happy to see me, and always brightened my mood.
Good luck in overcoming your tragedy.

I have felt this pain like so many have. It is hard. I lost my Cocker Spaniel, Murphy several years ago, and cried for 3 days.
I wrote a Eulogy to him on Free Republic and people were so kind and a comfort to me. I felt silly writing a Tribute to Murphy, but you know, people who have loved a pet and lost them, completely understand the pain of losing one who loved you no matter what. One who was so happy to see you and that tail would not stop! That little head resting in your lap, those kisses....those big eyes...and you will never forget any of those qualities of your loyal friend.
When I was feeling like you are now, and wrote my tribute, a freeper sent me THE RAINBOW BRIDGE. I will never forget that kindness..it helped reading all of it.
I hope all the love pouring out to you now from people on this thread will give you comfort..and may I pass along ......
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know (almost) how you feel. I lost a really fearless Yorkie three years ago at the age of 3 due to a heart defect. I can't imagine losing him the way you lost yours, though.
Barkley was a true terrier in every sense of the word. If there was something he wanted, he would work on it for hours without giving up. He spent his first year basically growing up in a "pack of wild Yorkies," since the "breader" gave her dogs very little human contact. His terrier skills were extremely well developed, though. He took well to his new home but never really understood that he didn't have to worry about fending for himself anymore.
When we lost him, I was grief stricken. I found another one year old two days later. It might seem stange to get another one so soon, but I highly recommend it. You can't replace Moleman but you can open your heart to some more love -- and it will definitely help you cope. Loosie is a real sweetie and a little commedian with a lot of enthusiasm and spirit. Anyone that hasn't had one of these little canines tends to dismiss them as toy froo-froo dogs, and they don't understand what's in that little package. They are fearless and great little hunters, and little clowns to boot. I never want to be without a Yorkie or another type of terrier.

Dogs really are man's best friend. We love our giant Jack Russell, a clown of a dog. I'm so sorry for your pain.

You are still a lout.
He uses his freedom to express his sadness about losing his friend and you decide that he needs someone to stomp on him. And you stepped right up and volunteered to do the dirty job. You should enjoy kicking kittens, too.
Secondly, read post 71 on this thread, too. Maybe the poster on post 103 needs a lout also.
Thirdly, he, you and I expressed freely on this thread. He expressed his feelings and is saddened by the loss of his dog. You however, stood over him in his sorrow and stomped on his loved one while he was grieving. I stood up for him and correctly stated that you are a lout, but perhaps you prefer boor, cad, or oaf, instead.
Fourthly, you said, "I express the idiotic practice of people treating animals like humans, and I'm automatically cruel to animals." Well, well, looky there, you created that claim all by yourself.
Fifthly, you sure don't have quite the full understanding of freedom, liberty and conservatism. It is not political conservatism to kick people when they are sad as you did, even if the loved one they are grieving for is a pet. It is not conservatism to hate animals as you do. These practices of yours do not help define you as a conservative, they only define you as a lout, boor, cad, or oaf, take your pick.
Lastly, it is quite the mark of a supreme lout such as yourself to make a special trip to this thread, posting on FR for the first time in months, for the sole purpose of crushing a vulnerable person who was saddened over the loss of a loved one. If you can't understand the love someone can have for a pet, then you can't understand love. That, austinrepub, defines you as the sorriest of humans.
You just couldn't leave this thread well enough alone without taking a high plant step and kicking him in the guts, could you? That is what defines you as a lout.

The morn of life is past,
And evening comes at last;
It brings me a dream of a once happy day,
Of merry forms Ive seen
Upon the village green,
Sporting with my old dog Tray.
Chorus:
Old dog Trays ever faithful,
Grief cannot drive him away,
Hes gentle, he is kind;
Ill never, never find
A better friend than old dog Tray.
The forms I calld my own
Have vanished one by one,
The lovd ones, the dear ones have all passed away;
Their happy smiles have flown,
Their gentle voices gone;
Ive nothing left but old dog Tray.
Chorus:
When thoughts recall the past
His eyes are on me cast;
I know that he feels what my breaking heart would say:
Although he cannot speak
Ill vainly, vainly seek
A better friend than old dog Tray.

Thank you for your kind words. Still can't believe a freak thing like this happened to him. Very sad way for him to have to go.

OK, now I am choked up again after reading your post. I am sorry to hear about Murphy, sometimes there is just no getting over it. Thank you for your kind words about Oscar and the link to rainbow Bridge.
