With a slow, deliberate gait, H.K. Edgerton walked along U.S. 25 toward Greenville on Wednesday wearing a Confederate soldier's uniform and resting a Confederate flag on his right shoulder.
Edgerton, who is black, is marching from Asheville, N.C., to Austin, Texas, to raise awareness and funds for Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the Southern Legal Resource Center, which advocates Southern heritage.

Once again, you miss the point.
You might take a bit more care with what you are trying to say.

What has that got to do with the ACW?
All the ACW proved is that the Union is indissoluble -- at least by clueless baboons like the slave power.
Walt
I have access to a copy.
Why didn't you say that a week ago?
The point was that there is nothing in the record to suggest that Lincoln and Butler ever met after Butler was sacked in January, 1865. And there is still nothing credible in the record to suggest that they did.
Walt
the aristocrats who BOTH seized the state governments after Richmond fell AND then COLLABORATTED with the hateful damnyankees/scalawags/carpetbaggers were REALLY good at blaming EVERYTHING on "persons of colour", whether they had been free or slave, veteran or civilian.
as you can tell, i'm not particuliarly fond of the landed-aristocrats who did LITTLE to FREE the south (other than talk big-they tended to be what our soldiers called "stayahomes" & "shirkers"), but once we lost our war for independence, THEN they became "the defenders of the antebellum south". then as now, TALK's CHEAP!
free dixie,sw
had we won our war for independence, we would have a FREE dixie REPUBLIC & the north would be free to be the United Socialist States of America.
this seems to me to be what the damnyankee elites want.
what the "old rebel familes" want is OUT!
for a free and much improved dixie republic,sw
I believe it is correct to say that the Germans downed no bombers while the Tuskegee Airmen were on station. Many bombers were still being shot down, not only from Italy where the Tuskegee Airmen operated but also from England. Late in the war, anti-aircraft fire surpassed German fighters as the agent of the most bomber losses.
I talked about 15 years ago to a former bombadier with the 15th Air Force. His outfit had the B-24's. They were attacking the Hermann Georing tank factory in Austria in late July, 1944 when they were beset by ME-110's which shot down 17 out of 21 B-24's in just a matter of minutes. This vet was hanging in his parachute when he saw that a German fighter was lining up for a run on him. The Nazi didn't quite have the angle he wanted and swung about for another approach whence his sorry butt was blown into a million pieces by a P-38 he hadn't seen.
Of course the black fliers were equipped with the P-51. The Tuskegee airmen also had the best percentage of available aircraft in the 15th air force at any given time -- a tribute to the ground crews and the commanding officer. Colonel Davis, the commanding officer, recently passed away. He exemplified in every way what Dr. King said -- the answer to racism is excellence.

And also to clueless baboons like the abortion power. Indissoluble it is Walt, you can be proud of that.
I think you should of said, "incorrect".
That's what I meant, I couldn't figure out what you were saying either.
If you think it is bad, it is in your head, not mine.
And Walt would be leading the juggernaut to push his good moral values on you, like abortion to this day because it is the UNION. And everything Union is good....
And he talks about Nazis...
I think you should of said, "incorrect".
No. it's claimed that when the 322nd FG was on station they allowed no German fighters through to attack the bombers. No one has disputed that, unless you are.
I saw an interview with a Tuskegee airman who had been captured a while back. He said he was treated better by the Nazis than he had been in Mississippi.
Walt
I am -very- proud of that, because among free men, there is no appeal from the ballot to the bullet.
Sound familiar?
"Peace does not appear so distant as it did. I hope it will come soon and come to stay; and so come as to be worth the keeping in all future time. It will have then been proved that among free men, there can be successful appeal from the ballot to the bullet; and that they who take such appeal are sure to lose their case and pay the cost. And then, there will be some black men who can remember that, with silent tongue, and clenched teeth, and steady eye, and well-poised bayonet, they have helped mankind on to this great consumation; while, I fear, there will be some white ones, unable to forget that, with malignant heart, and deceitful speech, they have strove to hinder it."

Did he mean you?

walt is a scalawag/turncoat/enemy colloborator to his native southland. AND he's a HATER!

I'll have to some digging. Not much could stop a Me 262 with Mk 103 and Mk 108 cannons and R4M rockets toward the end of the war once they attained speed after takeoff. It could be they were just plain lucky not to encounter any of them. On the surface, it sounds like propaganda, or should I say politically correct?
Enter affirmative action discrimination, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and pending reparations. How wrong Linclon was.
I don't know his backround, so I won't comment on that. It is best not to engage in personal attacks like that here, even if he has done it himself. I hope this doesn't upset you.
Your friend in Dixie, bjs1779
they should help us free the south & then take a road north. then they can curse us to their heart's (do they have one?) content. we however won't care, because we'll be FREE!
