STREISAND WATCHES HER PENNIES

Barbra Streisand dined at Arnie Morton's in BevHills with hubby James Brolin, and when the $180 bill came, the diva whipped out a crumpled, 1-year-old $100 discount coupon — then took a calculator from her purse and figured a 15 percent tip only on the $80 she had to cough up! That's right, folks — Ms. MultiMillionaire left a lousy $12 tip for the poor schleps who waited on her!

I don't doubt it, every liberal I know is like that, they all count their pennies and stiff waitress's.

If you are prone to be a lousy tipper, it is best to
change beaneries often. Don't tip like a jerk and
let the pissed-off staff keep handling your grits

A place like that would issue a $100 coupon???

I hope this story is true, but.....

Since not everyone's aware of it, I'll point out that whether or not you use a discount coupon, gift certificate, two-for-one deal, or whatever, you're still supposed to figure your tip on the full price of the meal(s), not on what you ended up having to pay after discounts.

Ha ha...There's more than one way to skin a cat.
I believe I've heard of that procedure in my many years in and out of the hospitality business.
May I suggest ONTHERAIL.COM (check out the "In The Weeds" section)

You sound like a socialist - you accuse her of having a lot of money. Is that a crime? That is what is being instilled in us by Democrats. But how does it tie with your own idea of getting rich for yourself and your family? Do you hate what you want to become?

About the tip - do you get a tip where you work?
Do you tip more than a couple bucks for lunch?
Why does it personally insults you her being frugal with her money? Do you feel that you are in charge of her money and she is suppose to throw a couple grands at lunch?
Is that how you envision yourself to behave if you had a lot of dough?

The most dreaded customers here in the "Buckle Of The Bible Belt" (Oklahoma) are the big haired evangelists who, after a lavish repast, prefer to leave a Bible card or even deliever a sermon to the struggling waitstaff as a gratuity.
The former drunk, Richard Roberts (Oral's issue) is well known for this practice.
Lucifer has a table waiting for these hypocrites when they go to their, er, reward.

Ha! I tried that many years ago on a girl that was after my man. Don't know if it worked but I sure enjoyed thinking it did.

I'm not surprized hubby didn't pick up the tab. My son did a "guest star" performance on his old t.v. series and he told me that mr. streisand was the most arrogant person he had yet met.

I think the most amusing part is that the half-wit actually had to use a calculator to figure out 15%.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. Did Babs actually graduate from HS? I have heard that she didn't.

Nothing against doddering old fools, because I hope to be one myself someday, but Mr. and Mrs. Streisand increasingly fit that description.

Divide your restaurant tab by 7 for the tip. That comes as close as you need to result in a 15% tip.

I think I read some years ago that she frequents thrift stores looking for really cheap deals.

It could be that this place issued that coupon when it first opened a year ago. I would imagine that it had expired also, but since the management would not want to offend her they accepted it. Even so thats pretty cheap, but what do you expect, got to save money to give to the DNC.

I love your husband, too; and, I don't like Streisand.

But how much lower thant the National Inquirer can you go in selecting your sources?

Are you reducing FR to the checkout line in the supermarket?

Actually, the Enquirer has broken some big stories and is much more credible than historically believed. Call me foolish but I trust it as much as CNN, the Washington Compost, LA Times and NY Times.....
