How many people have today off as a holiday (Columbus Day)? He hasn't struck for two weekends and if he doesn't strike today, I'll bet he works and uses the company truck.

Did you hear on Fox News this morning that they are looking into american soldiers that recently attended sniper school because they would use a partner. That gives credance to the fact that people saw two guys in the truck or astrovan. They are looking for a white male with sandy hair (which could be just about anyone).

I predict that when he does hit, it will be anywhere but a gas station. I imagine every news channel in the DC area will be wall to wall with TV coverage of gas stations.
Imagine the coverage of snow events where each channel has a reporter standing outside covering the snow fall. Well, each station will have a mobile unit at some gas station today. The new anchors will cut to them periodically to see if anyone has been shot on TV.
Of course, I could be wrong. The TCK could see this as a challenge and take out a reporter. One wonders if any of them will be wearing body armor and steel helmets. One also wonders if there might be some practical jokers with a few firecrackers around gas stations.

Earlier on FNC, I'm pretty sure they said Moose was holding a noon press conference.

There's no reason a white male with sandy hair couldn't be a Chechen or a Bosnian. Sniper killings of civilians were a big feature of the Bosnian war.

I agree. I expect a good percentage of DC is off today for Columbus day, so this looks like a 3-day weekend.

Yea but you have to realize this person is psychotic. We have nuts in this country (actually all serial killers are nuts anyways). This seems like a likely scenario more than terrorists from outside. Could be one person is in charge and gives the order. Maybe these people flunked out of sniper school.

I don't think so. Looks like a homegrown nut with a mission or some idea he is GOD! We've had them in the past in this country. But they often make mistakes and we will catch them.

Looks to me that when he hits he is now able to create maximum chaos. Due to the new police tactic of closing off major highways and trying to find that elusive white van. Or was it a truck?
This sniper can actually hurt the regional economy a bit. Would not suprise me at all if this was a sideshow for the main event of a larger Al Qaeda attack.

One news station just reported Moose will not have a press conference until noon today.

Yea he said that yesterday. I think its because we are giving to much attention to the sniper and they don't want to encourage him. The more attention he gets the more he wants to do more damage. One news conference a day is good enough UNLESS something happens.

I agree. I see no need for them to have a news conference unless there is some new evidence, etc.
