CARTER'S NOBEL PIECE PRIZE 10/11/02

Jimmy Carter, the latest recipient of the Nobel Piece Prize! Were this awarded to him for his work for Habitat for Humanity, I'd agree with the award. However, it was awarded to him for his work on middle east peace. Excuse me, but tensions in that area were worse when he left then when he came into office. The same can be said of the Clinton administration.

What connection can be drawn here? Clinton's and Carter's middle east plans were quite similar. Both wanted talks to see what the terrorists wanted to stop killing innocent people. Both proposed a pay-off scheme to the bad guys. The result was predictable; more terrorism. The thought on the terrorist's side was, 'well, if 10 murders will get me this, what will 20 more get me'? When we have a mass murderer in this nation, as we do in the DC area now, do we offer the shooter money to "just please stop"? No, we try to hunt the miserable dreg of humanity down. Rewarding him will only entice others to do the same.

Yet, Jimmy Carter gets a "Peace Prize" for attempting to reward terrorists. Maybe now Clinton will be getting a prize for family values?

We will certainly never see Ronald Reagan get a Peace Prize for bloodlessly defeating the USSR.

Actually I think the Nobel Committee gave it to Jimmy...so Rosalind can finally
get over the depression she's been in since having to turn over The White House to Nancy Reagan.

Hope y'all had a chance to hear Rush's take on the Peanut Hick's *prize* concerning Carter's opin of Bush's intention to whack Iraq taped for Larry King's lousy show.

Yea; Rush asks ol' *Jimma*, "Now that you've won your *Peace Prize* will you NOW ALSO PLEASE shutup?"

That man can be so right-on *&* damned funny to boot, at times.

...today was just such an instance.

The only reason that Jimmah got the prize was so that the committee could give W the finger.

I remember seeing Rosalind's face, the night Jimmah got his plow cleaned by Ronald Reagan; she had that Judy Woodruff look on her face, when Judy is reporting something that is good for conservatives.

Carter was one of the first hippies to ever graduate from the Naval Academy. I think he was born senile. The conditionhas continued to advance. It matchs the hippie mentality at the Nobel committiee.

The fact that Gunnar Berge of the Nobel Committee admits that giving the award to Carter is really a slap at the United States and President Bush, speaks volumes of how totally corrupt Carter is if he accepts it. A thoroughly inept President who watched his countrymen held hostage for 444 days by a third world despot now becomes a thoroughly contemptible ex-President. What more could be expected of someone who desparately seeks to expunge the stench of his time in office.

It doesn't matter what the Nobel people think, Jimma will go to his grave knowing what the American people think of him.

Rats, missed Rush today. This whole affair was sickening. From Jimmy's campaigning for the prize and the back-handed slap at Bush by the Nobel committee to the giddy adulation of the lamestream media.

Unfortunately, I missed Rush's commentary. Personally I equate the awarding of the Peace Prize with the Academy Awards--one has no more substance than the other.
