GREAT FALLS, Montana (AP) --Montana's Libertarian candidate for Senate has turned blue from drinking a silver solution that he believed would protect him from disease.
Stan Jones,a 63-year-old business consultant and part-time college instructor, said he started taking colloidal silver in 1999 for fear that Y2K disruptions might lead to a shortage of antibiotics.

Anyone who would choose to join or not join a political party based on one candidate as the reason, isn't much of an addition. Are you a member of any political party?
Yes, a card-carrying Republican.
So shall we chat about some of your candidates and elected officals? As a reason to never join the Republican Party?
Lets start with George Ryan, governor of Illinois. And move on to David Duke. Then we can chat about some others. Hundreds in fact.
Yep, and to what end? They stand for nothing except election. They give in to Democrats and liberals inside their own party on almost every issue. Their elected officals give us bigger govt. at every turn.
If getting elected is all that you require for your allegiance, you will have no problem.
You said the LP was a bad joke based on this man's candidacy. A man you know nothing about other than he took some medication that turned his skin blue. You don't talk about his ideas or any other criteria except a childish picture.
Then you refuse to address the point I made about your wonderful party. The party of David Duke. If the LP is a joke based upon this man, what precisely is your party based upon it's men, like David Duke and other luminaries like George Ryan and John McCain?
Do you think they'll form a blue caucus?
No, since this would be off-subject.
Instead, we should discuss for the 1000th time the legalization of drugs which this Libertarian candidate is, true to form, practicing. Okay?
I'll start: This Libertarian turns himself blue, even possibly poisoning himself, to make a point about his Libertarianism (ie. let's legalize drugs; one of the BIG Libertarian causes).
Therefore my question is: When, and if, he dies from his self-imposed medication, will he then qualify for a Darwin Award?
BTW, check my homepage TJ, I live in Charlottesville, underneath Monticello.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rest my case.
IF I was a Republican, I would be horrified to think that people might associate me with people like you.
Because the Libertarians are stupid.
More to the point: The Libertarian party is a walking advertisement for the political Darwin Awards.
Darwin Awards are given out to those who are sooooooooo blatantly stupid that they kill themselves, thus saving the society by not reproducing and participating in the gene pool.
Metaphorically, the Libertarians are here committing the same thing. They want their ideas and their party to be taken seriously. One of their ideas is to legalize all drugs.
What we have here is a candidate for the Libertarians turning himself blue by practicing what the Libertarians preach: The uninhibited use of anything by anybody. By any measure this "Blueness" would not lend itself to the voting-public's faith in the appearence (pun intended) and sanity of the Libertarian Party.
The Libertarian's produce unelectable, wacky candidates therefore not having much of a say in anything and not 'reproducing' politically; the political equivalent of the Darwin Awards.
But something tells me he is "filled" with more than just blueberry juice!!
People like yourself ALWAYS substitute invective and insults for logic and substance.
Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Chrysiasis - the gold version of the disease - makes one purple, and there is a website with many colloidials for sale - mineral supplements, and to be the color you always wanted to be : www.purestcolloids.com -
