I read this card as death to Americans.

To a Tarot practicioner, it would indicate a change of phases, a new beginning, the end of an old way and start of a new, or a *turning of the wheel*.

To a Jihadist, those might be identical with actions resulting in *death to Americans.*

While this may well not be the work of terrorists (although I don't know what to think either way), the recently discovered video over there seems to indicate that this type of domestic terror is on their future list. So, realistically, even if this isn't it, I think, unfortunately, that your children and mine may well have "personal, resident" terror with which to deal.

It's quite possible, because all the "experts" I heard kept repeting how baffling and different this case was from the others. Maybe it's because the perps are not the legendary "gun-loving republican white males"...

I think he picked the Death Card because it looks cool and Scary. If it's something deeper, it because he saw it in the James Bond movie "Live and Let Die".

Baltimore and Philly are close enough for "day trips" for reconnaissance.

Good point, though I have to believe the LEOs there have their guard up too. And if the prep kills in Baltimore or Philly he still has to find his way back home without being pulled over and searched. This of course assumes that if the perp does kill in those cities there will be random searches of cars traveling to the DC area.

You got it. The Great Satan's posts have alluded to the anthrax attacks as being warnings. If you look at the timing of these snipings in conjunction with the warning to Americans (who didn't learn their lesson)you could view this also as a warning -- if you take to to Iraw, we'll take it to you.

"To the Policeman" sounds like something a child or someone not too familiar with English would write. Of course, the "Anthrax Letters" were worded to sound like that, too..."We have this anthrax..."

As far as people connected to the case, they aren't releasing ANY info as to their race. Wonder why...

This may have been mentioned in a previous post..I'm sorry, I didn't ready all 631 of them, but apparently the "Death" card signifies death to man, woman, child, priest and king.


It occured to me that the police came out pretty strongly with police presence at schools for Monday, when I hadn't heard much about that after the Wednesday, Thursday, shootings last week. So do you think that this nut had possibly left a "calling card" at other scenes and since he had already targeted men and women, they were afraid that a child would be the next target?

Just a thought.

You could well be correct. But there are at least two other possibilities, one more regional in character, not likely to have surfaced in far-away Maryland, and another that might pop up among high school or junior college students most anywhere.

I do believe, however, that the note left of the death card said "To the policeman...."

It was pre-coffee this morning, but I'm pretty sure I heard it reported as "Dear Mr. Policeman". That was on WTOP radio in DC. The word choice struck me as bizarre.
