In case you haven't heard, citizens in South Florida are under being flooded out by the Federal Government, to make them "willing sellers." They are resisting and their cause is the "Sawgrass Rebellion" ......
If you have heard that their South Florida Rally was cancelled because of permitting problems, the latest news is that the rally is back on track. Check the web site shown above on Monday, Oct 7, for the latest news.
Caravans are on their way to Florida to support the Sawgrass Rebellion, from across the country: -- the Klamath Falls area of Oregon, where a federal judge denied water to farmers to give it to a supposedly endangered sucker fish. -- the Little Darby Creek area of Ohio, where the Feds tried to impose a 55,000 acre wildlife refuge to "protect the creek"... which is in great shape because local landowners have been protecting it since just after the American Revolution.
The Klamath Convoy is coming through Texas. There may be a demonstration on the steps of the State Capital in Austin on Friday, Oct 11. The next day,the Convoy will participate in the annual Train and Grain Festival in Saginaw, TX, near Fort Worth. There will be a parade at 10 A.M., including the Bucket Brigade from the Klamath Falls, and the Shovel from Jarbridge, NV. Following the parade, there will be a rally at noon, with speeches and a fund raising auction to protect property rights. In Saginaw, they will be joined by Texas's Citizens Against Forced Annexation (CAFA) who are fighting for residents of unincorporated areas outside of Fort Worth, as well as other cities in Texas.
Anyone else concerned about Property Rights in Texas is welcome to join in. A point of contact for the Saginaw affair is Bill Ames in Dallas at: billames@prodigy.net or telephone at (972) 392-4023. Please see the attached Train and Grain Press Release.
In Austin, Randall Mach is organizing events for noon Friday, October 11. He is trying for an event at the State Capital, followed by a fund raising auction, somewhere in the area..... possibly Georgetown. He needs all the help he can get. He has invited the Governor, and needs help with Political contacts, media contacts, folks to cut through red tape, etc. Please pile on and help get this thing going.
If you can think of someone who might participate or help, please get them on the bandwagon. I suggested we contact Susan Combs' office in the morning. Any help with that area could really boost our efforts. Also, anyone running for office on property rights issues might be interested... along with any organizations fighting for property rights. Mr. Mach's primary phone number is (512) 247-5394 with a backup on his cell phone at 512-577-5394. If someone in the Austin area can help him with Email support, that can make communication easier.
To coin a phrase, "Y'all Come....."
To survive the onslaught, we MUST band and act together, whether your property rights issues are Endangered Species, Conservation Easements, Wildlife Refuge Expansion, Zoning, Annexation, Water theft by the "Urban Giants"/big cities, or similar issues. We may not have exactly the same issues as other folks across the country, but we are in the same boat that they are. It's Sink or Paddle time folks Please pass this to anyone you think might be interested and ask them to join in to support Property Rights nationwide.
