Ah....but the D-Backs have an angel on their side...Angel "can't go a game without making a bad call against the Cardinals for 9 years running" Hernandez.
I can't call him what I usually call him on here...it'd get pulled in a second. ;-`)

Its all in good fun! I had a bad feeling about the Yanks going into this. This is the best part of the season, its sucks not having your team it. Minnesota is my second home...so GO TWINS!

The problem witht the Yankees is they have ruined major league basebase. Or I should say Steinbrenner has ruined it. Starting with paying Catfish Hunter a cool million, Then Reggie, then every other big named star from small market teams. The chances are a small market team will all most never get a shot at the brass ring. Because the Yankees have a big market and loads of money. It is especially sweet when they get their butts beat inspite of their huge advantage. When theres no team left to challenge because they're all broke. It's a hollow victory for the Bronx Bums. Keep braggin oh Lord of the Flies.

Now that is a ruling I could agree with. This best of 3 format is ridiculous. Another genius blunder by MLB, just like staging it on invisible TV channels.

Go Angels! People here in Orange County are so stoked!

Me too!!!! Gooooooooo Twinkies!!!

Cards deserve this one. We're missing Danny Bautista, Luis Gonzales, Brian Anderson, Craig Counsell (more valuable than Gonzo); our star pitchers are wavering; worst of all, our bullpen is competely imploding.
The D-backs brought home a ring for this fan, so I can't complain. :-)

NOt fair Rockiesrider; You want to blame this entirely on the Yankees? How about the Players Union and the CBA. George is one owner among many...they can change the pay structure WITHOUT GEORGE. But the players would walk if there was a salary CAP. Honestly, some teams should disappear...the level of play would go up. There are too many crappy regular season games.

No more $7.00 beers for Pardek until next April!
To: JPJones
The Skankees weren't just beaten, they were out-classed, seriously out-classed. The Angels had a team batting average during this 5-game series that was 40 points higher than the highest Skankee batting average in post-season ever.
This is sooooo sweet. The only flaw I see in it is that my dream scenario didn't happen. That's where Roger Clemens pitches into the sixteenth or seventeenth inning in the deciding game and balks in the winning run. Someday
To: Heff
Get a life...The Yankees are only the most successful sports team in history. Not this year, obviously. What's the payroll of the Yankees compared to the Angels? Clemmons, Mussina, Wells and Pettit probably make more than the whole damned Angels team. And for what? A chance to go home on October 5th?

You Yankee fans brag when you win and drag out yesterday's newspapers when you lose. Predictable and shameful. Right now is what matters and they lost.
It's only a game remember ;-)

And the Terps whooped A$$ over Bobby (KKK) Byrd's Mountaineers!

Jeff Ward and Ed Clemmons of 590 KLBJ were going bonkers over this game because it wasn't being televised!
