LEWISTON, Maine (AP) A letter by Mayor Larry Raymond aimed at slowing the influx of Somalis to Maine's second-largest city has sparked confusion and resentment among members of the immigrant community.
An estimated 1,060 Somalis have moved to Lewiston from elsewhere in the United State over the last 20 months, according to one city official.

It was hysterical! The host ALWAYS cut him off, but the caller was able to sneak it in two or three times a week. You'll never convince me the host wasn't letting him 'get away with it'...he had a distinct voice that I always picked up on. I'd always turn to my wife and say "here comes Anus King", and I was NEVER disappointed!

You know, I am all for helping people...........if they are our own! But to bring in all these immigrants, well, this is nuts. We can't afford to feed our OWN homeless........but the immigrants get all this money. I'm sick...........
We have homeless living under the Caribou bridge, and the immigrants downstate are living the high life on welfare. What's wrong with this picture........

Nice link. There's a lot of meat there, but this one paragraph gives the game:
In their exodus, they say they are looking for peace and quiet, cheaper housing, a more benevolent welfare system, better schools and a place to raise their children -- families of seven or more are common -- with fewer perils and temptations. That they are leaving a metro area renowned as a black mecca to resettle in Maine, home to fewer than 7,000 blacks in 2000, is less a matter of irony than intent, given the prickly state of their relations with black Americans and a desire to protect their children from assimilating too quickly.
Translation: We want your money without working and we don't want to become Americans.
There's trouble brewin'.

That's great, two dimwits agreeing that we should take in all these refugees as long as we can get the Feds to coerce the citizens of the other 49 states to pay for it.
Wonderful.
