Their reporters are hearing that the Democrats in the House are extremely unhappy about the deal that Gephardt struck on Iraq with Dubya and are calling for his resignation.
Or there may be a revolt on the vote next session providing he runs again

And GW had the chance to rid us of those Klintoons What the hell are you talking about?
Are you suggesting that Bush should suspend free speech for anyone named Clinton? Or are you suggesting a lifting of the ban of assassintions?
If Clinton wants to make a loud fool of himself, there's no one on earth who can (or should) stop him. If the RATS want to let the Clinton's run their party, there's nothing on earth a Republican can do to stop it (short of criminal action).
The Clintons are very old news, their methods have been used so long they're not fooling many any more (just ask the New Jersey rank-and-file Democrats). That they are loud, crude and crass. And neither one of them holds a candle to Bush in popularity or respect.
Clinton talks a lot, but only sycophants bother listening anymore. The most common political death is with a whimper not a bang. Perhaps, Bush's subtle methods have you baffled. But he's a helluva lot more effective than you would ever be.

Excellent analysis of the situation.

We can only hope for a gangland war within the RAT party with the competing crime families wasting each other. A general settling of scores.

I understand your frustration. Bush had the rats in the palm of his hand, if only he had kept away from all the ongoing investigations of terrorist pardons, crack dealer pardons, Waco, etc. Instead, he 'played it close to the vest'. Now he has rats walking all over him. But at least Bush had noble intentions. So I forgave him. Besides, justice takes almost a decade of delay before it's fully denied sometimes. FReegards....

Probably. Barbra's furious that her check was cashed and Gephardt didn't do what she wnted.
Yeah and remember Dickies comment, " the republicans are just jealous I get faxes from Barbara and they get them from Rush Limbaugh".
Well yuck,yuck,yuck Dickie.

Power play by Pelosi? More like the continuing meltdown at work. There are continued signs everywhere; from this to the lawsuit here in Georgia seeking to throw out Denise Majette's primary victory and declaring Cynthia McKinney the winner.

Are you saying they'll all be like Tom Daschle? If they lose their Dick, the DNC will be neutered. KKK Byrd might be the Soul of Dasshole's Senate, but Gephart looked capable of bailing them out. If they slash the Dick, we will roast their chestnuts.

30 days before the election, and they are fighting among themselves, does it get any better then this? And to pour salt on their wounds: It was that "unsophistcate, gravitas-challenged" good 'ol boy from Texas that got 'em good!

When Democrats McDermott and Bonior called the President a liar, the other Democrats said that it was unAmerican to criticize them for exercising their freedom of speech and participating in a debate over such an important topic. Gephardt verbally supports the President, and they are outraged, demanding that he step down.
Although the Democrats are largely hypocritcal over this issue, I think that you have to question Gephardt's motives. He's just following in Gore's footsteps. Gore elevated himself to Vice President by being one of only a few Democrats to back Bush Sr. in 1991. Now Gephardt is betting that lightning will strike twice.

This might be kind of amusing to us, but it is really bad from a "big picture" point of view. It really would be better if there was some kind of unity on national security issues. Yes, Gephardt is thinking about his future career... but I also think he was trying to do what he thought was best for his country.
