McBride on the environment?
Lawyers own words make best case against him
TALLAHASSEE - When asked to explain his position on Floridas environment during last Fridays gubernatorial debate, corporate lawyer Bill McBride gave the following rambling, confusing answer. His own words make the best argument against his candidacy for governor in a state where environmental issues are so critically important.
Well, I think growth, ah, growth and, ah, the environment are so interrelated, said McBride. Ah, we need, ah, we need to start viewing Florida as, ah, as one. What goes on in Jacksonville does effect what goes on in Orlando. Ah, weve got traffic congestion all over Florida. And, acutely such in Orlando area and South Florida. Ah the environment of Florida is so fragile. What this Governor has, has talked about, ah, ah it, it frankly, in a lot of circumstances just hasnt occurred. Ah, the offshore drilling controversy- that was a promise made back during the elections. Ah, you should know in your heart that off shore drilling is bad for Florida. Ah, I do.
The Everglades is such a fragile ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, agreement and the Governor of Florida needs to make sure he protects it. Now I think that what we need to do is make sure that growth management and growth is managed by us, or its gonna manage us.
Now, the environment of Florida is so fragile, we need to protect our land and our water and our beaches. Ah, I know about, ah, ah this state as, ah, and Ive lived in here almost fifty years. But what we need right now is we need to get a balance between our growth and we need to get a balance that protects, ah, the most treasured resources of Florida. That is our land, our water and our beaches. Weve got a water crisis coming up. I propose that the Governor of the state take an active role in making sure that we, ah, we protect our water, that we make sure that each region cooperates and the Governors the executive that can make sure that happens.
Please send this to anyone you know in the State of Florida including all the newspaper and ask them if this is the person they want for Governor.

Good grief, listening to this maroon is irritating, but reading it is absolute torture!
The debate showed beyond any doubt that Jeb is the better of the two. The only ones who sided with McBride were his own cronies, and some of the mainstream (liberal) media.

Then I emailed this to McLawyer. :-) (works best with sound)
FEA/campaign managers are getting axed by McB. Whatta guy. He really cares about teachers - they're dropping like flies in McB's campaign.
I still think it comes down to his wife's bank job at Bank of America. He was a figurehead at H & K pretty much but they SHARED CLIENTS. Her bank clients were retained at H & K and he sent their law firm clients to the bank.
That's why he never talks about his wife with "her" SIX MILLION DOLLARS. Can't go there.
I predict that McBride's polls were at an all time high after the election, and things will taper off.
