Vanity Post: Freeper Alert!!!!!

Today we are at a crossroads for the Republican Party.

The question before us, Will We Fight Or Will we Lay down like dogs.

If we do not fight as individuals against a Democrat attempt to break the law now, then I submit we are already defeated.

I remember during the last election when Freepers stood together outside the Vice Presidents mansion and told Gore to get out of Dick Cheney’s house. We stood together down in Florida and pounded on the doors of the election facilities and demanded our right to a fair election.

This new DemoRat scheme to deprive the New Jersey voters the election laws that they passed is yet another affront to our Democratic Republic.

We can not let this pass. We need to show America where we stand.

I wish I could be there with you to show my support for your rights. I will however provide any help I can, I ask the rest of you to do the same.

The problem I see, is that they do not appear to be breaking any laws.

Yes, they are. They are attempting to replace a candidate less than 50 days outside of an election. This is illegal under New Jersey law.

Its 46 days, and from what I understand, the law allows the State AG to put a candidate on the ballot in that time. And guess what, the AG was appointed by McGreevy! I could be wrong, but thats what I understand.

Their other attempt would be to have Torch resign prior to 30 days out and then McGreevy would appoint a senator who would serve until Nov 2004 before he faced election.

They are basically in a last ditch attempt to do anything and everything possible to hold onto a senate seat because the RATS are driven by one thing... POWER!

Now Im all confused. I have seen posts saying an appointment can be made when there is more than 30 days till the election and I have seen some saying LESS than 30 days to the election.

From Fox News

"However, Republicans wanting to keep Torricelli on the ballot say New Jersey elections law prohibits a swap of candidate names within 51 days of the election. Therefore, Torricelli's departure would be a forfeit."

Washington, D.C. - Senator Bill Frist, (R-TN), Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), made the following statement today following Senator Robert Torricelli's (D-NJ) announcement:

The law in New Jersey is very clear: an individual may not pull his or her name from the ballot less than 51 days from the election. The National Republican Senatorial Committee will participate in any challenge to the effort by the Democratic Party to replace Senator Robert Torricelli on the general election ballot. If there were to be exceptions to the law, it is highly unlikely that fear of losing an election would be one of them.

*God's Own Party*!!

Ecclesiastes 10:2-3 NIV

2 The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.
3 Even as he walks along the road,
the fool lacks sense
and shows everyone how stupid he is.
