To: July 4th
Of COURSE it is!
What was that McGreevy said about the decision would be made within 48 hours?
To: Torie
What if the US Supreme Court can't hear the case because of scheduling issues? Can the Court do that?
To: Libertina
NJ Dems are taking it to SCOTUS to ask for Torch's name to be replaced on the ballot... totally unprecedented, and against the laws as they are written today... and when they are turned down, they will play the "disenfranchisement" card yet again. MAN, are they pathetic, predictable, and corrupt!
To: jackbill
Watch the beginning of the demonization of the AG in NJ--just like Katherine Harris--if he won't let the demonrats do whatever they like.
To: Diddle E. Squat; Torie
Ugh.
To: dennisw
The torch has the nerve to ask how we became such an unforgiving people? We have always been unforgiving of criminals in office and in the last 9 years we have been taught again by the world class criminals, the Clintons, and thier 40 thiefs, to be even more unforgiving, because we cannot count on our government to make the criminals in office bear the responsibility for thier actions. The Torch got caught and teflon Bill couldn't help him.
The democratic litmus test; if you can't hide behind a pretzel they don't want you.
To: Jim Noble
I am listening to this and it is unbelievable. Torricelli has decided that his Republican opponent is unworthy of the U.S. Senate and that Toricelli cannot allow himself to be responsible for loss of control of the U.S. Senate by the Democrats so now, 36 days before the election, the Democrats have dreamed up a scheme where the Democrat NJ governor or completely Democrat-controlled NJ Supreme Court can call off the federal election and appoint his own hand-picked Democrat for one year. The deadline for candidates/primaries passed a long time ago! Sorry, New Jersey voters, you don't get to choose. What happened to count every vote? I have always thought that Democrats are dangerous. This proves my worst fears true.
Then he goes on about he's innocent and he is facing an unseen foe, determined to knock him down, too cowardly to face the great Toricelli. Yes, it is once again a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Campaign Finance Reform, rah rah, until we get caught with our hands in the cookie jar, then it's a conspiracy.
I am so disgusted. Any Democrats on this site that can defend this transparent play, please speak up!

That was the most shameless, disgraceful display, from a politician I have ever seen. Pretty much what I expected from The Torch!
Forrester to respond on C-Span at 6p Eastern.
To: dennisw
How nice of Torrecelli to spell it out for everyone How nice, indeed. Now Torch's replacement is Clinton's candidate. IOW, the NJ slate is a toy in the hands of the national party.
I don't know if Forrester can do much with that, but at the very least it opens the way for a "New Jersey's Candidates Should Be Selected By New Jersey's Citizens" angle.

What was that McGreevy said about the decision would be made within 48 hours? Means that they don't have a replacement yet OR they are stalling for time

Yep.
October came a day early this election year.
To: Exit148
This man has no conscience! Neither do the people applauding and speaking on behalf of this twisted little thief. Truly; these democrats have sold their souls to the Prince of Darkness for just a little taste of earthly power. I can't find the words to describe the moral depravity of these people...
To: Howlin
Al Gore will replace the Torch.
To: All
We must be heating up the server Big Time with this thread. I have never seen so many posts, so fast!
To: dubyaismypresident
Well, when you have policy meetings in the back room of a club with "Girls, Girls, Girls" on the marquee, it's hard to hold your concentration, I suppose.
To: copycat
Hillary absolutely WILL NOT ACCEPT being in the minority.Cthulhu may not have a choice...
To: MinuteGal
The Torch got a standing O from the brain-dead in the room, Yeah, but did you hear them Laugh Out Loud when he mentioned his mom and the will?
They couldn't contain themselves!
To: Neenah
WHAT???? Clinton's voice CRACKED when talking to him from England??????? omg!! And you ould hear the sound of him biting his lower lip. What a bunch of freaking psychos!
To: dubyaismypresident
You see what's going to happen, don't you? They will unlawfully name a new candidate, and if the Republicans object, they will claim they don't want the people of NJ to have their right of democratic choice.
Must be easy being a democrat. It's all scripted.
