Ok, all of the NC FReepers, Lurkers, NC FReeper wanna be's listen up. We have set a meeting place and time for regular monthly meetings. Our next meeting is next Tuesday October 1st. I hope we can get a large group of us together so we can accomplish some great things in our state. God knows there is a LOT to be accomplished.
I spoke to the owner of Tir na nÓg and he is a staunch conservative and is happy to let us use his meeting room for free. The room will be on your right as you come through the front door, it's near the bar : ). Of course he'd like for us to buy food and drinks, he is running a business after all.
I can't vouch for their food but they have a GREAT beer selection. Personally I plan on eating my dinner during the meeting to give him the business.
You will find a sample menu and directions by clicking on the link to their web site below. Please give me some response on this thread if you plan on coming or not. In fact, even if you can't make it do us a favor and bump it up.
I'd also like to introduce all of you to our new, NC website, thanks to the hard work of callisto.
I'd really like to see some enthusiasm from the NC FReepers. Let's not be couch potato FReepers, get involved in your state politics. We have a LOT of work to do and it can't all be done sitting at a computer keyboard. Oh and we'll have a lot of fun too.
Any suggestions for discussions or projects for meetings will be appreciated too. Tell Constitution Day and I what YOU want to achieve from YOUR local chapter.

Tir na nÓg Irish Pub
218 S. Blount St., Raleigh.
(919) 833-7795 http://www.tnnpub.com
The date & time:

Next two meetings:
October 1, November 5 (**Election night**).

Bump!
To: Constitution Day
I'm not really, but the other images that came up when I searched for bump, well let's just say this was the only one you'd want to see
To: billbears
Ugh. I can just imagine.
I'm thinking Clearasil, or the "Heartbreak of Psoriasis" here.
To: mykdsmom
I send my regrets for not being able to attend, due to a prior commitment.
I would like to see meetings get going again, though.

Has anyone ever considered doing 'live' meetings online. Like with AIM or something? We could always start a private group on Yahoo...with our own chat room and everything!

We could always start a private group on Yahoo...with our own chat room and everything! That's an excellent idea.
MKM, dubyagee: What do you think?
To: Constitution Day; Overtaxed; mykdsmom; dubyagee
That's a great idea. I also had another one which I will freepmail you about later, CD. Would like to run it by you before I say anything. Right now I'm getting ready to go to a soccer game. (Yeah, yeah, I'm one of those dreaded soccer moms. ; * )

They even have voice chat but only one can talk at a time. :)
To: dubyagee; Overtaxed
I'll go ahead & set it up!
dubyagee:
Go ahead & FRmail me when you can, I will be back online a little before 9 pm.
I don't have anything against soccer, as long as it doesn't interrupt REAL football! ;)
OT:
Yeah, I know they have voice chat... been a while since I used it though.
Group will be called "Old North State Freepers".

I like the idea of either a board we can post to or a chat room.
It would be nice to include the NC FReepers that live to far to come to meetings.

Sigh. Only 5.
Well, here's a morning bump. :(
To: deedgirl
Go to Your Locale and click on the PA board. Every state has their own board that they post local news info on meetings etc.
Also you can choose to fly your state flag there and put in the city that you live in.

Just a reminder of tonight's meeting NC FReepers.
I realize that many of you have previous obligations or live too far to attend. Those of you in Raleigh that haven't let us know if you plan on coming yet or not, PLEASE just respond to let us know and to help bump the thread.
