Sounds like fun, Tbm. Hope you get to ask some of your pointed questions. Are both candidates going to be there?

Yes both will be there and I am calling it a candidate's forum since neither are calling it a debate. The Baltimore Chapter of The NAACP will ask the questions. It will be held at Morgan State and carried on C-Span tonight.

Used to live near Morgan State, about 40 years ago. Things have changed. Don't think any Freepers will be venturing there tonight.

I was raised on the Eastern Shore! My best FReeper wishes are with the Conservatives and Republicans in Maryland NOW until election day!

Singing the song learned as a kid...

The Cheseapeake Bay way of living calls, (clink clink) for a National Beer!

Another song...

I don't give a damn about the whole state of Maryland, the whole state of Maryland, the whole state of Maryland...

I don't give a damn about the whole state of Maryland cuz I was born on the Eastern Shore!

LOL!!!

Come on now everyone is going to be there tonight.

No offense. But if you go, I suggest that you not wear your Ehrlich button.

Check out:

The title: Townsend Offers Md. Budget Plan Before Debate

From the article:

Maryland is receiving about $150 million a year from the lawsuit, and the state has promised to use much of the money for smoking-cessation programs and cancer screening and treatment. Under Townsend's plan, at least 10 percent would be sold to investors at 72 cents on the dollar to help balance the budget.

Townsend said she would give lawmakers the option of selling an additional 30 percent of the funds.

Perhaps the best part is, later on in the article KKT has the gall to say that: "Ehrlich's accounting maneuvers are "more appropriate to Enron.""

Has Ethel come out into MD to campaign yet? I know she lives in VA.

Some in MD might even bow down in Ethel's presence, as they will be so grateful for her "concern" for the downtrodden.
