NOW... being reported by state troopers in the capitol in salem oregon that a package full of white powder, postmarked from pakistan... Anthrax potenial was cited... on news report.

Good point-All I do know about it is that it spreads EASILY.It would seem that a few cases would cause panic,I hope this does not happen.I know the goverment has been gearing up for this possibility.

capitol will be closed tomorrow and that the letter in the white powder, warned of small pox... Well...I'd check the letter for small pox contamination, too. Better safe than sorry.

Yes,someone tell us how Smallpox could potentially be unleased,and how far it could spread.All I know is it was given to the indians on blankets.I'm wondering how long the virus can survive? Is the potential for widespread smallpox something to be overly concerned about?

it was given to the indians on blankets.Guess that means it doesn't have to be wet, like in a vile or something. It can be exposed to air. It wouldn't have to be fresh, either. Seems like a letter could do the job, then.
