I can't seem to remember that last time a .50 Cal was used in a crime...

The LA locals supporting Feinswine and Waxman again.....

I'm sure we can expect to see a big decline in armed robberies and shootings.

Time to "ban" Los Angeles.
The sniper rifle is the "key" to "freedom".
King Gustov of Switzerland told the Nazi officers who threatened to invade "You may get in ok, but if you do..none of your officers will ever go home alive."
Germmany did not invade Switzerland.
Our second Ammendment was modeled on the Swiss "right to bear arms" in the home.
LA is "sick", and everyione knows it. Probably the long standing association with Hollywood.

"The 50 caliber sniper rifle is an extremely powerful weapon which uses high-caliber ammunition at distances averaging between 400 and 1,700 yards"
My Weatherby .460 can do this too.
For that matter my model 70 in 300H&H can reach out to over a 1000 yards easily.

Does this ban possession or just the sale? Do current owners have to turn them in?

Any one got the link to the actual motion? I'll bet this gets overturned in court. Of course, someone will have to first be arrested, convicted, appealed go through the court system to finally get to the SCOTUS.

These same military armamentsdesigned and sold for the express purpose of killing people and disabling key command and control outpostsare now freely available across America's gun shop counters. Freely?! Nobody told me - how come nobody told me? Last time I saw one, it had a $3000 tag on it.

yeah...
This is real high on my worry list.
Lemesee... when was the last time one if these was used in a real (non-Hollywood) crime?
I'm thinking...
I'll get back to you.

Yep, I'll bet OBL buys all his weapons at the local mom and pop gun shops here in the USA.

We must bring these weapons of death and destruction under control Uh, what deaths? what destruction?
I'm sure the current owners exercize great control.
I'm trying to imagine someone knocking over a liquer store with one of these and then beating a hasty retreat. If they made it out the door, I doubt they could run half a block with one.

Ban organic food! It has killed more Americans than 50 caliber sniper rifles.

Someone tell me again how the leftist socialists are disappearing from the political scene. Some tell me again how gun control is a dead issue for the dems.
