The Inter-Fraternity Council at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, voted Monday to accept the Alpha Psi chapter of national gay fraternity Delta Lambda Phi, according to a press release from Delta Lambda Phi.
The Kent State chapter of Delta Lambda Phi met with resistance in the spring when the chapter first petitioned for membership on the council, even though the group had been on campus since February 2000.
"We're very pleased with the IFC's decision," said Joshua Dudeck, president of the Alpha Psi Chapter. "I wasn't sure how the vote was going to go, to be honest. This is just the first step for us. We still have to apply to be an associate [fraternity], then after three semesters of associate standing in good standing, we'll be able to apply for full membership."
Delta Lambda Phi, founded in October 1986 in Washington, has 23 active chapters in 16 states and the District of Columbia, with recognized colonies in Indiana, Texas, and Washington State.
The Kent State chapter is the second Delta Lambda Phi chapter in Ohio to be recognized by its local Inter-Fraternity Council; the other is the Alpha Sigma chapter at Ohio University in Athens.

Eat me. We had a dozen gay/bi brothers and it was great. They were buffed, loved to dance and we normal guys got to console the girls who were heart-broken over them.

Well, at least they won't be out in the bars on Water Street trying to get laid, they won't even have to leave the house.....ROFLMAO

Very true, and my guess is that they've converted some bar (since the Stuffed Mushroom is gone) away from campus to a gay bar anyway.
It's been awhile since I drank in Kent.

Why do you think the call it the "Greek" system? How do they separate the men from the boys in the Greek army? With a crowbar.

Who are they going to have parties with? There isn't even another gay fraternity to invite to the dance.

AppyPappy, I gotta hand it to you. I've used a lot of gender "guerilla" tactics over the years, including consoling the "recently heartbroken" [Translation: Women who got dumped and want to get back at the ex by going out and doing some other guy].
I never, ever thought of using this tactic with women who were brokenhearted to find out that some guy they have a crush on is gay. lol... Heres a big old slap on the back for that one!

LOL
Should also be a sorority instead of a frat house.

There was hazing when I was a pledge, does that still exist or has it been eliminated by the Leftist societal feeling concerns? Obviously hazing wouldn't make sense in a "gay ambience".

Just sent to my son who is President of his Phi Kappa Sigma Chapter here at OU.
We already have one fraternity chapter here on campus that leans that way but I sure didn't know they actually have ones dedicated!

Hazing in a gay fraternity would involve having sex with a girl.
