FLORIDA "TERROR SCARE" DETAINEES TO REFUTE CHARGES Medical students deny threats, running through toll booth, being "uncooperative"

WHAT: On Sunday, September 15, the Florida office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) will hold a news conference at which the three Muslim medical students detained during Friday's "terror scare" in that state will refute charges that they perpetrated a "hoax," ran through a toll booth or were "uncooperative" with authorities.

The men were stopped after a restaurant patron in Georgia said she hear them making "alarming" comments about the 9/11 attacks and about a possible future terrorist attack. They were released without charge after being detained for 17 hours. Since their release, CAIR-FL assisted the men in obtaining legal representation. Their attorneys will also attend the news conference.

"We are very concerned that mere suspicions, possibly based on prejudice and stereotyping, could so damage the lives and livelihood of hard-working young people whose only wish is to defend their reputations and complete their medical education," said CAIR-FL Executive Director Altaf Ali.

Ali added that the rising tide of anti-Muslim rhetoric in our society can trigger discrimination by a bigoted minority. He said that just this weekend, a mosque under construction in Northern Virginia was attacked by vandals.

One of my favorite stories was how my Grandmother's father came home one day after working on building the levies along the Mississippi. He had been catching a lot of crap for his German, and when they sat down to eat he slammed his hand down on the table and said: "We are all Americans now, and we will all speak English from now on!"

This of course killed all conversation at the table for a while but they weren't a talkative lot anyways. We're all from that area; AK, TN and so on. The bulk of both the print and electronic media, as constituted today, is a nest of domestic enemies of the United States. Their activities run the gamut from simple minded, childish obstructionism to cold, calculated treason.

That they will do whatever they can to disrupt the war effort is a given.

It looks like Eunice will have support ---it's going to be too easy to show they did run the toll booth and weren't cooperative with the authorities. Even now with this lawsuit it proves that.

Since September 11th, we have opened a number of contacts with Sikhs and Hindus, living both in Britain and in India, who regard the British National Party as the only political party with the guts to tackle the Islamic question honestly and openly.

Sounds like one hate group dealing with another. What better source for unbiased information on Muslims. Why dont you interview those unbiased souls on the Kashmir/Pakistan border? Kind of like asking the Russians for an accurate assessment of the Chechyns and vice versa. (SARCASM OFF)

They definitely are. They help prove it with this lawsuit because if they care anything about this country or US citizens, they would encourage people reporting suspicious activities. Same with the detainees, if they were just pulling some sick prank, they could admit it and accept being punished for making terrorist threats and admit the woman reporting them did the right thing for her country.

As I stated in a previous thread..my husband works closely with Customs. Their opinion on this whole thing is that the guys were being used as decoys to either test the system or stall for time. I agree with them...this whole thing is fishy. Why would those "muslims" play a joke on Eunice if they couldnt even SEE her since she was sitting behind a latticework screen? I dont think we know the whole story.

Professor Goofus, ya missed something in your equasion. Radical Islam has declared death and destruction to America, depicted in the Danial Pearl beheading video. Put that in your equasion. Pearl's beheading was applauded throughout the Muslim world. In this video, Muslims say all Americans will be likewise beheaded if they don't stay out of Muslim land (the whole planet).

there isn't any question she related exactly what she observed.

There was one phone call, one remote camera interview in the day and one remote camera interview at night.

Then that was it.

Plus, she only spoke to one media outlet.

ET - the second car stopped to pay the toll for the other ONLY after they cops pulled out after the first car (which did not pay)

Also, the car tag did not come back "all clear" as some have suggested. The public records indicated that tag belonged on a different model car. The tag had not been properly transferred.
