FLORIDA "TERROR SCARE" DETAINEES TO REFUTE CHARGES Medical students deny threats, running through toll booth, being "uncooperative"
WHAT: On Sunday, September 15, the Florida office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) will hold a news conference at which the three Muslim medical students detained during Friday's "terror scare" in that state will refute charges that they perpetrated a "hoax," ran through a toll booth or were "uncooperative" with authorities.
The men were stopped after a restaurant patron in Georgia said she hear them making "alarming" comments about the 9/11 attacks and about a possible future terrorist attack. They were released without charge after being detained for 17 hours. Since their release, CAIR-FL assisted the men in obtaining legal representation. Their attorneys will also attend the news conference.
"We are very concerned that mere suspicions, possibly based on prejudice and stereotyping, could so damage the lives and livelihood of hard-working young people whose only wish is to defend their reputations and complete their medical education," said CAIR-FL Executive Director Altaf Ali.
Ali added that the rising tide of anti-Muslim rhetoric in our society can trigger discrimination by a bigoted minority. He said that just this weekend, a mosque under construction in Northern Virginia was attacked by vandals.

Someone must take exception to the erection of a damnable Satanic grotto in their community...
Imagine that.
She should never have given her name.
And cops, of all stripes, need to regard this situation as the reason why we will NOT identify ourselves when we report suspicious events.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the Georgia woman say, even before the hoaxers were stopped, that she fully realized the perps may have been doing a "put on" in reaction to another patron staring at them? Didn't she discuss this with others at the restaurant, debating whether the authorities should be informed? I got the impression that she was genuinely concerned about making a potentially misleading report, but decided that, not being certain that it was joke, it was best to put the matter in the hands of the police.
Sounds to me like a good citizen answering the call to vigilence from our leaders and not willing to take a chance with the lives of others. The result is that she is now being called a liar. If she is not, a defamation suit may be in order.
Here is the deal, Muslims; WE know that YOU know who the terrorists are amongst you; you're a tightknit community.
Want it to stop? Two things you can do: 1) Act outraged at 9-11; 2) COUGH THEM UP.
P.S. After seeing the press conference, apparently WE are not the only ones doing some stereotyping.
Right now, I am unsure what to think. There is something that is troubling me. She said her son was there. I thought she said he was 18, but I'm not sure.
WHY hasn't the son come forward? Why hasn't the son been interviewed? One would think that the son would WANT to come forward to vindicate his mother?
Could Eunice and her son, have lawyers, too? And have been told to not say anything more? We haven't even heard from her today, have we?
