If they wanted the dossier to link Osama with the Easter Bunny, then that's what the report would have stated...
Never underestimate the power of propaganda, or your government's ease of using it on you...

Maybe...but won't it be fun to watch Little Tommy and Byrd vote "no"? Maybe they'll have some Kennedy's, Leahy's and Feinstein's to keep them company, but it going to be awful lonely on the wrong end of an 80-20 vote.
And even lonlier when Sadaam is deposed and Iraq liberated, against their well-recorded and remembered objections.

I also think it's interesting that Blair is delivering this information. Are they going to accuse him of wagging the dog? Playing politics?

The Dims just can't seem to figure out how they keep getting trumped by that intellectually-challenged, frat-boy-who-really-lost-the-election, can they?

I personally have never had a single doubt that Saddam Hussein has relations with the camel-f@@kers that murdered 3000+ innocent Americans and destroyed the WTC and parts of the Pentagon.
I am greatly heartened by the fact that he might be stupid enough to have left any trail, however faint.

It should be noted that this is a DRAFT dossier. Hopefully it will stay in to the end.

BTW, while Tony Blair isn't great, he is being really helpful on Iraq. I think the President may be giving him the responsibility of labelling Iraq an Al Queda training ground. If President Bush did it, people would be less inclined to believe it since some may think he just made it up to get justification for revenging Bush I's war. However, even the international community would sit up and listen if Tony Blair links Saddam to OBL. He doesn't have any perceived agenda. Bush would in some eyes of the world (please note I am not saying he DOES, just saying it would be politically smart to hand off this job to Blair).

British Prime Minister Tony Blair's promised dossier on Iraq is to reveal that Saddam Hussein trained some of Osama bin Laden's key lieutenants, The Sunday Telegraph reported.
The dossier is also expected to disclose that the Iraqi leader has reconstructed three plants to manufacture biological and chemical weapons, it said.Ping.

Daschle will never get it. His only goal is personal power. He hates America unless he is in charge.
To put things in perspective: Daschle won his last election in 1998 with 162,800 votes. What a piss-ant.

thanks for the x-link, backhoe...

I do wonder why President George W. Bush didn't ever mention a specific link between Saddam and UBL. Maybe he was waiting for the right time to play the card? Tony Blair needs a bat to go peace-nik bashing, too.

But wait! How can this be?! Scott Ritter has said there is no evidence!? Are you saying Ritter is wrong??
Wouldn't it be nice if Ritter could be called back to active duty. "Mr. Ritter I thought I ordered you to get that bathroom SPOTLESS."

I'm placing the odds at 3:1 that those who oppose this effort on FR will still oppose it. Any takers?

I am greatly heartened by the fact that he might be stupid enough to have left any trail, however faint.
THE point is... That trail would have been created if Saddam was truly smart enough to cover it...
The government needs the report for justification (from you) for kicking Saddam's ass... It will say whatever they want it to... whether or not it is reality

Bill Clinton would be more likely to "finger the perp" but I understand your point.
BTW, Have you heard anything about the latest news that the Easter Bunny might have links to Saddam Hussein?
To: RobFromGa
The President is a genius for having Blair announce this. The labor/socialist members of the House and Senate will have a real tough time calling labour/socialist Tony a liar and tearing apart his revelations.
Britain has a damn good intelligence service and the leftists in this country know they won't get away with pulling it down. It would be like attacking Agent 009 himself.
Underestimate our president at your peril, U.S. appeasers and traitors!
