They can one day join a democratic Afghanistan and a democratic Palestine, inspiring reforms throughout the Muslim world. Zing.

Last night Bush mentioned that Rumsfeld believes in having boots on the ground before air attacks. I think we have been seeing a shift in personnel in getting those boots on the ground for IRAQ.
Let's hope Rumsfeld has been able to DE CLINTONIZE the Armed Forces to the extent needed.
I am sure that has been a big priority

I'm a patient man" Did you hear Laura Bush tell Larry King last night that her husband was very disciplined and just, but NOT so patient. (^:

I happened to catch a comment by Russert on MSNBC after the President's UN speech. I've lost respect for Timmy - but thought his analysis of the speech was right on. He said Bush presented a prosecutors case to the UN. He gave the evidence of for a crimminal case against SH (which he truely did - listing every year of UN resolutions and how many) as well as listing crimes SH has committed. Then a civil case against the UN for NOT ACTING on their own resolutions. In short, do your job, or the USA will do it for you!!!! HE WAS MAGNIFICANT!! (Bush that is - not little Timmy)

Brown has been doing a good job too! A lot of these women on TV should get other jobs out of the news arena! Not impressed with the ditz on Fox morning either!
To: ClancyJ; Mo1

That was one heckuva speech this morning, if that doesn't shake up our European "allies" then they are hopeless
THe ones whose sorry asses we had to fight a stupid war in the BALKANS to save NATO even though no NATO nation had been attacked
Now that we have been attacked these worthless parasites are sucking wind

As you know - if he did not get the congress on the record yah or nay - they could come back and say "I was against that action" or "I was for that action" and use it in future elections. They need to be "on the record".

I give up. You guys are posting faster than I can read 'em! I'll come back later.
To: Sabertooth
You are so right. I did not hear Bush asking for permission to do anything in this speech - just laying out the facts.
He's not going to be sitting around waiting on the UN to give us an okay. He told them that Saddam has humiliated them and their 'resolutions' and if they are not tough enough to make the right decision - he is.
