Minelli, Gest adopt child

CNN) -- Liza Minnelli and David Gest will have another mouth to feed when their reality series begins in the fall.

The pair have adopted a child, according to a press release put out by their publicist.

The press release reports that the couple, who wed in March, have adopted a daughter, Serena. The child will join the couple in January 2003.

I don't know why I got offended by the latest press release by Liza and her obviously gay husband, but these whack jobs bringing up a child bugs me I guess. I know people who have gone to Russia to adopt children because they have been put on waiting lists up the ying yang, but these nutjobs get a kid right away, and then exploit the fact for publicity.

Of course the kid will be a prop on their VH1 --Ozzy lite show. I am offended at the media for covering this crap. I guarantee that the NY press will fawn over them tomorrow morning, but why? What has Liza or her "husband" done to deserve any publicity?

Jay Leno incredulously mentioned this adoption on his show last night, also arrival of Michael Jackson's third child. "Isn't that nice," he said. "The kids can go into therapy together."

My guess is that they have a European press conference tour to complete before then, then of course settling into their new show. The baby can be brought in for sweeps month.

I guess being gay, fat, or washed up (hey, Rosie's 3 for 3) puts you at the top of the adoption list. A normal, hard-working, heterosexual couple who wants to adopt a healthy baby has as much chance of doing so as a conservative has of being appointed to the federal bench.

It is difficult to tell who looks the most ridiculous! This looks like a group of aliens that had a crash landing on Mother Earth or something. What in the world is Liz wearing, and why would Liza marry someone obviously better suited to date Michael? Hey! That's it! I think Michael is the real Mother of the baby!!!
