Now THAT's a dangerous idea!! Civilians actually responsible for their own defense! What are you some kind of radical??? [/sarcasm].

I agree. Doubt we will ever see it though. Heck, I'd even be willing to pay to go through the LEO / US Marshal training just to be able to carry on board. I'd even pay my own way.

Maybe the TSA will consider a "deputy" program. Non paid civilians who complete the training can be deputized or something.

Good, I sent them one a while back re: show on Saturday morning about 7:30 am in the west. Group of young female reporters talking about current events! I watched it for a while and was so livid I sent them an email re biased coverage also inquiring if they were all employees of the former Pres. Got back an email the next day from them saying that they always try to have balanced reporting!!!
