Schröder attacks Blair (JUDAS ALERT)
The Daily Telegraph ^ | September 5, 2002 | Toby Helm

Posted on 09/04/2002 10:20:25 PM PDT by MadIvan

Chancellor Gerhard Schröder launched a public attack yesterday on Tony Blair's pro-American policy towards Iraq, leaving the Prime Minister's attempts to rally European support for Washington in disarray.

Taking direct issue with Mr Blair, who described Iraq on Tuesday as "a real and direct threat" to world security and insisted that America should "not have to face the issue alone", the chancellor said: "With all respect for Tony Blair, just like anyone else he will not speak for Europe alone on this issue or on others.

"We have absolutely no reason to change our well-founded position. Under my leadership, Germany will not take part in an intervention in Iraq."

The remarks are bound to dent a close political friendship forged over the past four years between Mr Blair and Mr Schröder.

Previously Mr Schröder has gone out of his way to praise Mr Blair as one of the outstanding politicians of his generation and has always played down their many policy differences. But with a general election in Germany just over two weeks away, Mr Schröder believes his anti-war rhetoric is playing well with German voters and is not prepared to moderate it.

Mr Schröder also confirmed comments by other officials that Germany would withdraw six armoured personnel carriers equipped to detect nuclear, chemical and biological warfare from Kuwait in case of a US attack on Iraq.

The vehicles were sent to the Gulf as part of Enduring Freedom, the US-led war on terrorism.

Really, when backs are against the wall, you find out who your friends are. Germany is not one of them. Just shut up, Gerhard - or to put it in your terms, Halt die Klappe.

The slave does not own his own life nor have life without his master's generosity so the slave envies the master and hates him. If the master leaves and the slave cannot stand on his own the slave will starve and beg for the master to return.

The slave represents the nations of the earth and the master represents America. This is why even in the face of obvious generosity the nations of the earth hate and despise us. They know that without us their own nations would starve and collapse and so they direct their feelings of inadequacy into hatred against us.

I thought Mr Scrötum was trailing his conservative opponent in the polls.

Bombing Germany should be easier now with Cruise Missiles. Heck we should resume the 1940's pattern with Britain. They go at night we go during the day. Did Schroeder come over from East Germany at reunification?

America seems hell-bent on destroying its own reputation, going it alone, and being friendless. China couldn't be happier.

Dick Rumsfeld and Don Cheney have destroyed in a few months the post-World War II harmony that took 50 years to be built up. The Western world is fraying. Is Dick Rumsfeld a Chinese spy?

Blair isn't speaking for Europe; he's speaking for Britain, and he's telling you continental Euros where you can stick your appeasement and cowardice.

America seems intent on lowering its standing in the world. Who knows why? Maybe being a superpower is lonely. But it sets the stage for China to fill the vacuum.

The old story is that NATO existed 'to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down'. Right now we have no particular desire to keep the Russians out, the Germans are definitely not down, and NATO, as it is currently structured, is a danger to the lives of every American man, woman and child.

We are already friendless. All that money buying friends and here we are with none. Imagine that.

Awww, are you upset that we have no 'friends' and 'supporters'? Whatever you do, just don't cry; it's a most unbecoming thing to do around these parts.

Understand this: When you're the king of the hill (like we are), the rest of the world is going to hate you no matter what you do. Deal with it.

kraut ass-kisser!

I see you feel nostalgia for World War II. As America gets increasingly isolated in the world, you may get your wish, as the world feels the need to join up together to "contain" America, which is acting like some LA gang member these days.

Ah yes... the Germans are VERY concerned about their "markets" amongst the Arabs...

The sand Nazis buy a lot of German luxury cars.
The sand Nazis buy a lot of German technical "goods".
The sand Nazis were, after all - allies to the European Nazis during WWII. --- They shared/share? a hatred for Jews?????

I have begun to wonder - if perhaps the French and Germans are worried what we will find - in the event we enter Iraq, Iran or some other Arab nations. Perhaps there is a lot of forbidden "Made in Germany" or "Made in France" hardware -- or equipment that was routed through France or Germany to mask the final destination.....

The curiouser and curiouser it gets --- the more things become CURIOUS!....
