Here is the 20 mile marker buoy off St Augustine. You can see the surface is still kind of flat.

Sure! Up until last May, we were in a drought situation here. Since then it's been rain every day (just about). The lakes and rivers are really filling up, so a dose from a tropical storm ought to really put the drainage system to the test.

peteram, don't you know it. projections for DeLand, Deltona, Geneva, and Sanford show some nasty flooding. Docks along the St. John's and lakes are already submerged.
Our brothers out West need rain badly - I wish we could pack it up and send it to you, taxcontrol (while we figure it out, practice your raindancing!)

If it holds together it will come out about crystal river just south of cedar key where I live. HMMMMM we had 14 inches of rain last week.

Cedar Key always gets banged up a little bit every couple of years. You are lucky to be able to live there. It's a nice place.

BTW, just looked at weather forecast for Daytona and I see that there is only a 60% chance of rain during the week. I wonder if they will revise this?
