RINO Congressman Wayne Gilchrest claimed this afternoon on WBAL radio 1090AM that he was an "on and off lifetime member of the NRA." Minutes later, Chuck Cunningham, Federal Affairs and PAC director for the NRA, called into the station and made it clear that Gilchrest was lying. Cunningham stated that Gilchrest has only been a member of the NRA since June of this year. Yet another lie that Gilchrest has been caught in. Conservative Challanger Dave Fischer, who is endorsed by the NRA, is running against Gilchrest in the Maryland September 10th primary election.

I find it a little disconcerting that the NRA is so open with their records. They have the right to impeach statements by politicians attempting to use the good name of the NRA to score political points with NRA members by lying about their NRA memberships.

Vote 4 Fisher................check! Got it, thanks!

Wayne Gilchrest doesn't even know the word Republican. In fact he is so far left of RHINO the Dims call him brother. This is one piece of trash that needs to be thrown out in this primary. One of many Lefties that voted for Amnesty along with many other Left-Sided(Anti-American) programs.

ooops.....Fischer.......but what the hell, good thread deserves good bump

Well, when a sitting U.S. Congressman lies about an organization, they have a right to defend it.

He also voted in favor or burning the flag. How sick is that?

He was even the sponsor of the Rhino preservation act. Too funny.

He voted to burn the flag? I doubt it. He probably voted not to throw people in jail who do burn flags.
I would have voted the same way.

How stupid is the above sentence?
He voted against putting in idiotic laws against flag burning. That's not voting FOR flag burning.
Actually, making flag burning illegal would INCREASE flag burning. When is the last time you saw a US flag burned in the US? Make it illegal and every left-wing nutball group in the country would burn a flag to get arrested and get on national TV.

Cunningham stated that Gilchrest has only been a member of the NRA since June of this year Well, the time he signed up doesn't really say anything about what kind of membership he signed up on in June, does it?
Or is "Life Membership" something you have to be born with?

"I find it a little disconcerting that the NRA is so open with their records." The NRA hardly has to be open with its records to say that anyone claiming to be an "on and off" lifetime member is a liar!
You're either a life member - or you're not. Gilchrest is next going to say he's an on and off American?
Scandals of antigun politicians - from coast to coast!

Maybe he counted the times he was brain dead?
I'm glad they nailed someone claiming to be something they're not. It only takes some money to become an annual, five year, lifetime or Endowment member. I don't know why anyone would have to lie about it. This is as phony as clintoon claiming to be a member and the NRA had to report that he wasn't.
There was someone that worked in the same company as I did and he THOUGHT that at one time he earned the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was serious.

Don't they have any privacy standards?Sure, they do. As long as you don't lie about your membership.

I find it a little disconcerting that the NRA is so open with their records. If the govt gets a court order for the membership list, it's just as good as having gun registration. And here's the head of the NRA just blabbing it to a radio station on his own. Don't they have any privacy standards? Actually, its was RINO Wayne Gilchrest that started it. He already has said that he was an 'on and off lifetime NRA member'. All the NRA did was check and report on the accuracy of Gilchrest's statements.

"Well, the time he signed up doesn't really say anything about what kind of membership he signed up on in June, does it? No, but you and I both know he said "Lifetime Membership" with the intent of convincing the general public that he has always been Pro-Gun. Nothing like hearing a Liberal get caught in a lie on "Live" media.
