Who's your favorite in Conservative Talk Radio?

I have noticed the broad spectrum of "conservative" opinions that emerge from the threads on this website. There is a similar diversity of "conservative" thought in talk radio, and I was wondering which of the preeminent talk hosts you identify most with - and, of course, why you choose that particular spokesman over the others.

Rush is my fav... I can't imagine that ever changing. My first screen name online in 1996 was Rushette. *L*
Maybe this thread can help me out..I have Quinn from 5:30 till 9 a.m. It's a dead block from 9 till noon. I'm on the east coast. Anyone have any Internet streams of good conservatives for the 9 till noon block? (Rush and Hannity fill the rest of the day...ain't the Internet grand??!!!)

If and when I want guests there is an endless supply of shows, both television and radio to find them on. Rush, as far as I know is the only "Guest Free Zone" in a sea of guest driven options.

I live in the Pittsburgh area and listen to Jim almost every morning on my way to work. After Jim, it's pretty hard to listen to anyone else.
It takes a few hours of work-a-day inanity to allow Rush a shot, but he doesn't have the raw passion that Jim evidences.
Glenn Beck is worth tuning in.

You're right, Quinn's vacation has me all discombobulated. Listening to reruns just doesn't cut it.

BTW FYI Bob Dornan is on 0600-0900 PT

Gene Burns is out here in California now on KGO radio, but I think he is a liberterian.

I enjoy Rush's insight, Hannity's passion, G. Gordon's weirdness and occassional Tony Snow.

To my mind, Limbaugh is still the undisputed Godfather of Talk Radio.Right behind Limbaugh, is Hannity.
My choices exactly.
I would also like to add that Rush has a great sense of humor, is good natured and has an even temperament...which is really a big plus in my book.

I agree with knarf, Glenn Beck's pretty good, although I can take him only in small bits. As I'm closer to Wheeling, I get him on WWVA - don't know which stations near Pgh might carry him.

Passion, without doubt. Not to mention his show brings a flavor of down home style. I have been to a couple of his Thuesday evening think tanks. Their always great. I'm looking forward to Tuesday though..."fresh" stuff for QUinn to pontificate over..

At the top of my list, Rush, Savage, Hannity.... at the opposite end of the spectrum are wimps like Mark Davis. Then there is that Brian Wilson clown.... not even a Conservative at all, more of a dope smoking, baby aborting, border destroying confused Liberal who's always ragging on Israel and anything that smacks of authority and order. BORDERS, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE! Is there really any thing else?....

The Right Perspective, with Frank and John on Shortwave.
The others--the ones on AM radio, except possibly Bob Grant--are bought and paid for mouths.
I don't always agree with Frank and John--but at least their show is exciting and fun to listen to.

Re: #31
I'll try to find an Internet stream from some radio station..I'm sure he's out there somewhere..Thanks for the heads up

Batchelor and Alexander
They are only on in NY, DC, and a couple other places last I knew. Disclaimer - neither one is completely conservative, but they are really geeked out on the War on Terror. They go all around the world chasing every little bit of info and even a few conspiracy theories. They also have the best lead-in music on radio IMO.

Gene Burns is out here in California now on KGO radio, but I think he is a liberterian. Thanks for the information. Yes, he is libertarian, but there are a lot of libertarians and libertarian sympathizers here at FR.
He is bright and literate though, is he not?

I forgot to mention David Newman. He is my favorite locally (Detroit area).
Unfortunately, he had a heart attack last fall, followed by bypass surgery, followed by a stroke. He vowed not to go back on the air until he is 100%.
I really miss his show! He has to be the most articulate, well-read host I've ever had the fortune to hear.

rush is on auto-pilot now.
I used to listen more before he went deaf. The parodies were funny. He talks too much and gets on my nerves.
I like Sean's interaction with callers.
Rush'a admitted use of callers "to make the host look good," has worn me out.

I mostly listen to Alex Jones. He goes overboard occasionally, but he does get the 'big picture', and is very passionate in his support of the Constitution.
I enjoy listening to Ken Hamblin and Walter Williams also.
