The writer of an Aug. 21 letter to the editor wanted to know why there was no outrage about the eviction of white farmers in Zimbabwe.

Colonialism has raped, pillaged, abused and taken advantage of the continent of Africa for hundreds of years. Only a few countries have been brave enough to stand against it. White Zimbabweans control 80 percent of the fertile land there and account for only 5 percent of the population. As in the Republic of Congo, people native to the area are taking back the land that belongs to them. They are also educating their people.

I applaud their efforts and wish more African nations would follow suit. May the motherland forever fight colonialism.

Wh doesn't this Mr. Henry return to the "motherland" and starve with the rest of the black racists? I'm starting to think we should just forget the dark continent and let them de-evolve to their pre-civilized state. Totalitarian satraps like Zimbabwe don't have far to go anyway.

When the white were moving into the general region of southern Africa, the present day black inhabitants were migrating in from the north. About the only folks present in that area were pygmies. They got pushed back into the Kalahari. If anything, it should be pygmies leading La Revolucion against both whites and tall blacks.

It's only the first generation of immigrants that aren't "native". After that generation, there is no difference in immigration status.

Thus, Nissei Japanese in California are just as "native" as third and fourth generation WASP's.

Likewise, a "white" Zimbabwean born to a familiy of 5th generation Zimbabweans is just as "native" as a "black" Zimbabwean born to 12th generation immigrants from Zambia/Mozambique.
