[history]
August 22, 2002 -- Vivendi-Universal is bankrolling a new documentary defending anti-American terrorism - and a second media conglomerate, Viacom, is sponsoring the flick's red-carpet premiere in Toronto on Sept. 11.
The film, "11'09"01," consists of 11 Sept. 11-themed shorts, several of which are being described as "stridently anti-American," that a Vivendi-Universal subsidiary commissioned from a team of international directors.

Oh, yes, the toon and his ilk were certainly starting to turn the culture, and they got us pretty far down the garden path, I think. But not so far as to be fatal. Thank God.
You can actually see it turning back now, with the current occupants of the WH leading by example, though there's a long way to go, I'm afraid.
Still it is refreshing to see an American President who is obviously in love with his wife, that wife being obviously in love with him, them being supportive of each other rather than choking on ambition, and the whole White House apparently regaining its dignity.
And yes, Hitlery is the new darling, and we have Chelz to look forward to as well...
The Sunday Times once speculated that Chelsea will get into politics like her mother and father. I hope not - my hope is that she settles down with some nice doctor....in Outer Mongolia. ;)

The fcc should ban the showing of this film in this country so they can't make any money.SCR*W THEIR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS!

The U.S. and Israel are democracies, their governments are elected by their people - thus it is legitimate to attack their people." Isn't Canada a democracy? Am I missing something here?
It seems that Europeans never learn. They must be more susceptible to propaganda than Americans. It seems they are always floating in a morass of socialism never to learn from their past mistakes. They better wake up before it's too late.

Boycott all things French -- wine, perfume, cheese, and whatever else comes from that foul place. And don't ever spend your travel dollars there....they absolutely hate American tourists.
To: Palladin
Not the French I've met. I'm going again next spring, and am looking forward to it.

Bon voyage!

The only exception to this is that if not for the french, we would be part of the commonwealth, have the queen on some of our money/coins, and NOT enjoy many of the legal protections that we have now but the subjects in Airfield One do not.

Merci! I wish it was next week instead of next spring, but c'est la vie...

Isn't Labour planning an indoctrination campaign to make sure british subjects vote yes on referendum (or at least that a yes result can be credibly reported) on dumping sterling within the next year?
I look at the u.k. as a sign of some of the bizarre liberal schemes we can expect in the u.s. within the next 10-20 years. It is a great shame; I really enjoy the time I spend in the UK (especially Northumbria and Scotland)
"The Metropolitan Police Force is to drop the crown and cross from its insignia for non-Christian officers because of objections from a Muslim recruit."
"A furious row is set to erupt between Britain and Europe over proposed legislation to make car drivers responsible for all accidents involving cyclists - even when the bike rider has broken the law and is in the wrong. "
"The force launched the two-month amnesty following fears over the growing number of people carrying replicas. Police chiefs have said it is only a matter of time before someone carrying a fake firearm is killed by armed officers:
:The British also face the unpleasant prospect of being tried by European prosecutors for offenses that are not crimes in Britain. A few days ago Law Lord Richard Scott asked the government to give more careful thought to the European arrest warrant. The warrant does not require evidence and would permit British citizens to be extradited to Europe for interrogation should they be suspected of crimes such as racism and xenophobia (fear or hatred of foreigners). Surely this spells the end of soccer.:

"THE police are to set up a secret database of children as young as three who they fear might grow up to become criminals.
Youngsters who behave badly or commit trivial misdemeanours will be put on the confidential register so that they can be monitored and supervised throughout childhood. "

Well living here in Toronto I'd be the first in line to Boycott this but the problem is I haven't attended a Toronto Film Festival screening in more than 20 years. However the Boycott continues!!! :)

Isn't Labour planning an indoctrination campaign to make sure british subjects vote yes on referendum (or at least that a yes result can be credibly reported) on dumping sterling within the next year? The Labour Party itself is divided on the issue. What Blair wants is likely to have very little to do with what he gets. We have a free press and the steady stream of embarassing press regarding the Euro has not gone away.
As for the others - yes madness reigns when Labour sits in office. But we recover, thrive and go on. Things looked pretty insane before Margaret Thatcher arrived, and then we had a Tory government for 18 years.

How about we protest and boycott outside of every local movie theater that runs a Paramount picture?

Good point! Now do we know any 'nice doctors' we can line her up with? (grin)
