So will the Apple fire become the new Biscuit Fire with thousands of acres burning with no way to get to the Green Jihadist piles of dead and dying trees since there are no roads to much of this area on fire?

Justshe will have to stay safe and keep us informed as this fire is apparently close to her.

Oregon is still burning.

Got reports of bad smoke in Klamath Falls last night from Archie and Edith.

Stay safe and let us know what is happening in your area.

The new Apple Fire seems to be following the script of how the Kalmiopsis Fire burnt for a couple of weeks before it went nuclear and came close to taking out Cave Junction and other towns in the Illinois Valley. Are we seeing a repeat buildup of a major fire in another crown jewel area of Oregon?

This is this morning's update on the fires in Oregon that are still burning.

The new Apple Fire in the N. Umpquah River area, east of Glide, Oregon. History may be repeating recent history like how the Florence Fire which burnt up the Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area and still threatens two counties in SW Oregon. Due to regulations, Green Jihadist agendas, there were no roads into the wilderness. Dead and dying trees plus the same with brush had built up for decades. So it was a massive 180,000 acre tinder box waiting to start burning out of control. It did, is still burning and will burn until the rains start this fall/winter.

With the new Apple Fire, there may be nothing that the fire fighters can do but drop back and watch the dead trees and brush in roadless areas, burn up. Of course this is the Good Fire, Rural Cleansing agenda of the the Green Jihadists who control the state of Oregon. Fire is the ultimate tool of the Criminally Insane Eco Terrorists/Green Jihadists of Oregon!

This if for our allies against the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists who would destroy America with fire and insane laws.

The massive Biscuit Fire, the former Florence fire is still burning and will burn until the fall/winter rains come.

The newest fire, the Apple fire, east of Glide, Oregon which is east of Roseburg, Oregon on I5 north of Grants Pass is starting to look very ugly with no containment.

Please let your friends be aware that Oregon is a prime example of what the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists/Terrorists can do to a state when they control it.

The Criminally Insane Green Jihadists/Terrorists have a deadly choke hold on the people of Oregon and could end up rurally cleansing most innocent people living outside the major cities. This is what can happen to your states if the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists/Terrorists gain control of your state.

The State of Oregon is a deadly/evil and vast lab experiment of the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists/Terrorists. The lab, the rural part of Oregon is burning up while they fiddle around trying to hug trees and cause more fires with their anti America/American tree agendas.

The latest combo map of the fire from data on the 17th of August.

The Red Spots are less than yesterday. They are still there and closer to Agness and the other small communities north of what used to be the Kalmiopsis Wilderness.

This is the best Floristry Circus Map that I have found so far. It was done on the 16th, which means the data inputs re where the fire actually was came from the 15th.

The faint green broken line inside of the massive burn area, is the boundary of the former crown jewel of the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists of Oregon, the Former Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area.

It appears that he Floristry Circus Clowns in charge of the map making and info don't want a map that clearly shows the entire Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area has basically been burnt up. Also, their maggot green brothers and sisters who control the fishwraps of Oregon are avoiding this incredible news that an entire 180,000 Wilderness Area has been burnt up as per the agenda of the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists in charge of the State of Oregon.

This is a KGW report on the fire as it came close to Agness, yesterday:

'The Beast': Town Faces Fire
08/18/2002

By JOHN ENDERS, Associated Press Writer

AGNESS, Ore. -- Things had calmed down a bit along Oak Flat and the nearby town of Agness, a resort and fishing village on southern Oregon's Rogue River. Homeowners, told to evacuate Thursday, were watching the Biscuit fire, hoping for the best.

Then the fire exploded.

Within an hour Saturday afternoon, the northwest flank of the fire blew up, raising huge billowing white and brown plumes of smoke 20,000 to 30,000 feet into the air. The "thwop, thwop, thwop" of heavy-lift helicopters filled the normally placid skies above the river.

"Normally, it's pretty stress-free living," said Gayle Soule, owner of the Old Agness Store.

These days, stress is not unusual for those who live in the path of Oregon's Biscuit Fire, the largest wildfire in Oregon in a century and the largest fire burning in North America.

"When you go to sleep at night and you hear helicopters, and fire trucks..." she said.

By Saturday evening, the Biscuit Fire had burned 419,000 acres, and more than 6,500 people were fighting it, including 470 Canadians, 39 Australians and nine fire managers from New Zealand.

Burning since a lightning storm moved through the area July 13, the fire has had several names: Florence, Sour Biscuit, and Biscuit.

Some residents have begun calling it "the Beast." One L.A. reporter referred to it recently as a "sleeping dragon."

"We don't want to call it a beast," said fire information office Wayne Johnson. "Beast implies something bad. This isn't something bad, necessarily."

Fire ecologists say fire is a natural event, and is needed to keep America's forests healthy, especially wilderness. The fire has burned over much of the nearby Kalmiopsis Wilderness, and now it's threatening homes and businesses in Agness, Ilahe, Oak Flat, upper Pistol River, upper Chetco River, Cave Junction, O'Brien, Selma.

Across America, 24 major active fires were burning. More than 5.7 million acres have burned this summer, and the states of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Oregon have suffered the biggest wildfires in their history, according to fire information officer Peter D'Aquanni.

The Biscuit fire, because of its size and complexity, is divided into four divisions, with separate top-level "Type 1" command centers.

"I've never been on a fire where they've had four Type 1 management teams on it. It really is just a management feat managing the resources," D'Aquanni said.

Residents of the area stood by, waiting to see if they would have to abandon their homes to the flames over the weekend. About a dozen helicopters buzzed in the air overhead, dumping fire retardant and water.

A half mile up the road, 40-year old Shawn O'Connor rakes and gathers pine needles and other burnable materials from the land around her home. She's been doing it for three weeks.

"Nobody in our neighborhood is leaving" O'Connor said. "We're just kind of waiting to see."

But if the fire gets too close, she will grab her 13-year old son Shila and a neighbor and head out.

She and her neighbors are watching the fire "in a state of controlled hysteria," she said. They also watch the wind, which this afternoon has picked up, but is blowing upstream, away from their house. They wait. Sometimes wind is a friend; sometimes it's your worst adversary.

"When you feel the wind, you don't know whether to be glad or scared," O'Connor said.

"I can't blame the fire. It's just what happens. You pay your money, you takes your chances," said John Lighty, 68, who lives with his wife Merilee in a house on Oak Flat Road several miles from Agness.

Their home is one of two that are closest to the fire, which is burning toward them about a mile away, just around a bend in the Illinois River.

The house is older, and has shake wood roof and siding, a wood deck and dense trees and shrubs all around. One forester describes it "indefensible."

"If it's going to burn down," Merilee Lighty says, "I wish it'd hurry up and do it."

Now we learn that there are Fire Ecologists to go with their fellow Insane Green Jihadists:

"Fire ecologists say fire is a natural event, and is needed to keep America's forests healthy, especially wilderness. The fire has burned over much of the nearby Kalmiopsis Wilderness, and now it's threatening homes and businesses in Agness, Ilahe, Oak Flat, upper Pistol River, upper Chetco River, Cave Junction, O'Brien, Selma."

How about throwing these Fire Ecologists in the path of the still burning fire with a hoedad and a canteen of water. Then tell them, that they will be picked up this fall/winter when the fire goes out due to the fall/winter rains. If they burn up, just remember that in their Druid Religion, fire is good!

This paragraph proves my thesis that the Green Jihadists are Criminally insane. They even have Fire Ecologists

Grampa...Any idea what portions of these fires that the government agencies continue to let burn because they can get more money for burnt, rural cleansed areas, than to have us "Real Americans" who might try to earn a nickel, than to bid for pennies from "Uncle Sam"?

They are the most deadly people in America re our safety, and their image is 180 degrees from their criminally insane reality.

So it is up to us get the reality out there about them with descriptive word smithing.

A lot of Oregonians have yet to realize that the tree-huggers are, after all, as contemptuous of trees as they are of our citizens.

The lefty Democrats in Washington and their left-wing environmentalists made sure -- through constant lawsuits, closing logging roads, and blocking hated-capitalist profits that would come from thinning the forests and clearing forest floor debris -- that now we are left with black stumps, sterilized and erosion-vulnerable land, and dead and homeless forest creatures.

Not to mention dead and injured firefighters, and people driven from their homes.

You have touched on the semi secret goal of rural cleansing by fire by these Green Jihadists.

First of all people get burnt out and are willing to sell cheap or just abandon their burnt out properties.

Then people decide it isn't worth living in a burnt out and ugly area and sell at a low rate to one of the Conservancy or some real estate group that contributes big time to the Green Jihadists just for this action. Or they just abandon their property.

Other people during and after the fall/winter rains get either mud slided or flooded out as the water just barrels down hill with no grass, weeds or trees to help soak up the water as it comes down hill. Can you imagine living on a down hill side of one of these SW Oregon mountains, and above you several thousand acres burnt out this summer or early fall. When the rains come, the water and mud will barrel down hill with nothing to slow it down except for your home for a few minutes before it goes down hill in the mud slides or floods. If the first mud slide or flood doesn't get you, one of the next ones for several years will probably get you. Or you will say the hell with and abandon your home, ranch or farm.

Finally, we will see insurance companies refusing to offer home insurance or raise the rates to the point that no one will be able to afford them. The mortgage companies will be forced to fore close on any mortgage if there is no home insurance. This is apparently happening in and around the Colorado Fires earlier this spring/summer.

This is why I now say that these Fires are the ultimate tool of Rural Cleansing Green Jihadists Criminals. The Fire Ecologists insure what I have posted above will eventually happen in any forest that they control the agendas in.

B4Ranch posted: We'll be able to use this title until the 2nd week of rains.

Fires burning across Oregon (Still)

That is definitely true for the Biscuit, formerly the Sour Biscuit and Florence Fires, then the Florence Fire and now the Biscuit Fire. The former Kalmiopsis Wilderness area has no roads, the fire ecologists, the SS Arsonists of the Floristy Eco Nazi Service will not allow any fire suppression of a good fire like this one. (Good Fire as per the criminally insane Fire Ecologist branch of the Druid Religion is any fire caused by nature, ie lightening.)

So the Former Wilderness, the Kalmiopsis Wilderness will burn until about the second week of the heavy fall winter rains.

Because this is no longer Brand New Front page or Breaking news, the Admin Moderator moved it to Extended News.

Of course to 99.99999999999999999999% of the Freepers it is not any news that they care about. So it really is a non important news item on Free Republic. That could have the same title for about 2 months as you suggested for this old and none important extended news:

Fires burning across Oregon (Still)until the fall/winter rains come.

For most of the Oregonians in Portland and the university cities/towns and Ashland, it is not a matter of realization of the dangers of these fires to those living around the fires.

Their reality is that they hate and despise or at the least have no concern about farmers, ranchers and those who live around these forests. As far as they are concerned, no one should live around a forest. That is evil and should not be allowed. They still despise the farmers and ranchers in the Klamath Basin, whom escaped the rural cleansing attempt on them last year.

These Portland people will never change. For decades they have been under educated while brain washed that the Green Agendas are good. That farming, logging, ranching, fishing and living near their Druid Cathedrals is evil. So they are the loyal Green Voting cults for Katz, Kitz and the rats who control Oregon for the Criminally Insane Green Jihadists who hate people. They are walking Watermelon Voting Cultists mouthing the Green Mantras.

Morning Grampa Dave,

Update from the Apple fire on the North Umpqua. I'm adding a few details just for other Oregonians that are familiar with this area.

Fire started at 50 acres Friday afternoon/evening and is at about 5,000 acres by this morning (Sunday). Highway 138 between Roseburg (Glide) and Diamond Lake was closed as of 5 a.m. this morning between milepost 38 and milepost 50 due to smoke and fire danger. Small community store and a few residents at Dry Creek are stuck smack dab in the middle of the closure. Roseburg is the closest town to where we live (65 miles) so access for food/mail/medical emergency is cut-off unless you make a tortured, windy 120 mile detour.

To visualize the closure: With the closure between the "X"s

Roseburg..Glide......X----Dry Creek---X...Me...Diamond Lake

The fire is not burning in....or near to...any wilderness areas. But it IS very difficult to fight because of the steep terrain and gusting winds up the canyons. And that's the news from here!( Cough, cough...choke.....)
