That's what I thought at first too, but that's not the issue. Hannity is peeved because the conservatives who might dare to question or be critical of a GOP policy are routinely attacked here. It was not a cry baby plea resulting from attacks on him personally. It was a gripe about the Bushbots.

A few weeks ago a caller to Hannity's radio show complained because many other callers were attacking her after she had talked on the air. (I don't remember the details of her call.)

She asked Sean why he didn't screen the calls, so that not only attack calls were aired.

He said his program did not screen callers. He said his show's goal was to let people speak their minds, even if it meant they attacked other people.

It is the difference between listening sober and listening blind drunk. I posted the following analogy a while back that pretty much sums up my feelings about the “betrayed” Bush voters

Many around here remind me of my dad. He would get car fever and start shopping. He would spend weeks going from dealer to dealer test driving, horse trading and then he would settle on a price, a model and the color. He would buy the car and proudly drive it home. That was the last proud moment he would have with any car he ever bought. No sooner than the paper came he would be looking at the ads and find the same car, the same model and the same color was being advertised at less than he paid. That would then send him into a buyers remorse so strong as to make his enjoyment of that car impossible. He would cuss that the gas mileage was not what he thought it should be. He would rave on about the cheap interior and how he was duped into buying the damned thing to begin with. In other words, the ONLY thing my dad ever enjoyed about a new car was the search and the drive home from the dealership.
