Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...
I feel like I'm in a Folger's ad!
No, I don't suppose I'd be that surprised. I don't know much about the Birchers, but I understand they're a bit nutty (with apologies to TBF).
The difference between Reagan and Bush, imo, is that Reagan had a deeper intellectual grounding in the conservative movement. He really understood why he believed what he did, and this made him a powerful advocate for conservative ideas. Bush strikes me as more of a convenience conservative, and as such he is prone to approach issues on a piecemeal basis. Hence his hideous compromise on ESCR, his willingness to expand the power of the state under the guise of the War on Terror, his inability to control government bloat, etc.
But again: I'm glad he's in there. He got my vote last time, and will no doubt get it in 2004 as well.
I definitely agree with you in regard to the leftward drift of the Republican party. However, have you been to a TownHall Meeting as of late? They're filled with Senior Citizens touting "Prescription Drugs", "Medicare" and "Social Security". These are at very conservative congressmen's town hall meetings.
While I do see senior's concern, as the costs of medication are outrageously high. The real problem lies with the pharmaceutical industry who is gauging the American people. The problem should not lie with the U.S. Taxpayers.
As I said, it's one thing to criticize friends, it's another thing to trash those friends who stood in the trenches with us and risked it all.
I think this is the type of stuff Sean was talking about.
Everyone can read through the comments on the thread that you think Mark Levin (aka: holdonnow) was misbehaving on, and can read your comments and those from other FReepers, and they can decide for themselves if this might be the kind of thing that had Sean Hannity upset with FR today. Bush Middle East speech discussion thread Levin came on the thread somewhere around post #450-460, I can't remember exactly. Check for yourselves and see where the thread took the ugly turn.
In any event, even if Sean Hannity had not taken FR to task today for the nastiness, plenty of FReepers have complained of the very same thing for many months now, only to be responded to in the manner highlighted at the top of this post.
Disagreement is one thing. Insult-slinging is not a valid method of disagreeing with another poster.

Yeah maybe we should take all of that all pervasive Christian programming off the air and out of Hollywood, and all of that Christian music played on the radio and then replace it with programming that is nothing but sex, sex, sex, WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS IS A SEXUAL REVOLUTION geeze.
What did Mark Levin risk?
But when it comes to the dear American elector you cannot depend on defense as the sole issue.
My point is simple, to energise the conservative vote they have to have issues to vote for, otherwise as history records they stay at home.
Republicans won with the plan for America, right now there are no issues only personalities.
I have never met a person that is "anti-sex".
My thoughts exactly.

Franco was and is universally recognized as having been a fascist.
Clearly Hitler and Mussolini considered him to be their fascist brother in arms.
The difference between Spanish fascism and that of Germany and Italy was the primacy of the party.
In Germany and Italy the state was subordinate to the party but it was vice versa in Spain.
What did he "risk"? Name ONE thing he did that put him at "risk".
