Hannity Blasts FreeRepublic (maybe he is right)
Radio
| Sean Hannity

Hannity just stated on his radio show that he has just about had enough of the conservative cannibals on this board. To many threads end up being ledd about news and information and more about attacking fellow conservatives.
He said if he wants to get attacked he will go to a Liberal board.
I have a tendency to agree...

I don't think Sean has gone as far as PKB. He has said repeatedly that he admires GWB, but he also said that he cannot give Bush a pass when he does something that jeopardizes his conservative base. I have the same issues with Bush. As much of a good job he has done, he is not immune from constructive criticism.

OK, so Allan overpowers verbal oponents with a blizard of well spoken intelligent oratory. I don't particularly like watching him on TV either.
I DO like reading him however. The guy is brilliant and he takes no prisoners. He unabashedly makes his Christianity and his Christian values the keystone of HIS conservativism and further maintains such values are the true core of conservatism. I can see how this would tick many people off. It's true though.

Some "conservatives" deserve attacking. However, he makes an excellent point.

"The usual suspects end up, most of the time, just piling on top of each other, one-upping themselves over who can be the best "patriot," or strictest "conservative.""Oh yeah, sinks??? WELL...........I'M more conpatrioti..........um.........er............patriervati.............ummm...............well, you know!!!! Than you are!!!!!! And.........and..........and I've read Atlas Shrugged 50 times, twice on the john! Top THAT!!!! Load my own ammo, sew my own flags (Stars & Stripes AND Stars & Bars), own more camouflage, have more gun-like things, and can hurl a tomahawk accurately up to 75 yards on a humid day! I can swear at Clinton for an hour without repeating an adjective, and I can pick apart Bush's Lord's Prayer as well as you can pick apart a Daschle press conference.
Ya see???? I AM (thumping chest) a much, MUCH humbler, salt-of-the-earth kinda patriconser........um..........well, you know!

Yes, but his hysterical rants sometime sound like a broken record. I'll listen from time to time, but when he gets going on something (no matter if I agree or disagree) and doesn't let go, I turn the channel for sanity sake. Still watch H&C though...

I don't know about blasting Hannity. To my knowledge he's the only person I've ever seen refuse to call an abortionist (butcher Richard Hern) "Doctor" on national television, correctly stating what he does for a living does not qualify as a "medical procedure"; he then called Hern "repugnant".
Hannity is a-ok in my book.

I know what you mean though. ;-) I admit, as you probably can tell, I'm a fan of Sean Hannity. But he has pissed me off from time to time, particularly when he doesn't treat his guests with respect (even when they deserve it). ;-)

He said FR's tend to cannibalize conservatives.
I'd say that his statement is incorrect. Everyone except the disruptors and a very few (a dozen or less) liberals on FR are conservatives. What he may be talking about is Conservatives bashing Republicans and RINOS that pull stupid stunts and implement bad policy. I have no problem bashing Bush over his (illegal)immigration views or his spending money like a drunken sailor. I also rabidly detest the so-called Republican Senator from Arizona.

Sean is right, there are a lot of self-hating conservatives here at FR. Too much bashing of other conservatives when we should be bashing liberals.

our ray of sunshine. I gotta tell ya, I just love a thread where MurryMom and demidog tell us how conservatives could improve themselves.

Hey, I like Sean too. I just need to turn the channel every now and then... Hell, I even listened to Rush this week. *GASP* :)

Come November vote the rats back to the stone age. There's a Hillary joke in there somewhere...

But if timed just exactly right, it was downhill both ways. Those were the days when sled riding was at its best.

"As always, you are our ray of sunshine" LOL! What do you reckon her "DUh" screen name is?
To: Pyro7480
... you'd think people on here wouldn't stoop down to the level of the leftists to do such things. ...ratZ would!

I agree with you. I am a conservative who has been attacked and accused of being a liberal because I don't always agree with Bush. I was a Keyes supporter but backed Bush after the primaries. I like Bush and I trust him to do his best but I disagree with him on immigration and the steel tariffs. I don't think my disagreements calls for insults, especially being called a (yuk) liberal. Most posters are polite and I enjoy the debates whether I am part of them or not. I do abhor the name calling which distracts from the topics, especially when a conservative trashes a fellow conservative. When it gets to that point it is better to agree to disagree because we are all in the same boat. When one starts rocking it, we all get off balance.
