i am currently re-reading Pharoahs and Kings. I bought a copy several years ago, read it and gave it to my father. I thought i would get it back... he like it too much.

After he died, i looked for it among his books but it was gone. I found another copy of this out of print book on half .com last month.

This sounds very similar to some of Velikovsy's assertions; that there was a several hundred year bust in the Egyptologists' chronology, and that resolving that lined up Biblical history with Ancient Egyptian records and documents to a surprising degree.

Egyptologists have said for years that there was no evidence that an independent Israel ever existed; correct the chronology, though, and the Biblical personages and events step out onto the stage in sharp focus.

I have never seen any evidence that there were hundreds of thousands if Israelites in Egypt. The Exodus was made by a few thousand at best. The Israelite were no doubt in Egypt as the Bible records but their presence was so trivial that the Egyptian writers failed to notice.

This information is so interesting in verifying some of the Biblical stories and history. I’ve never been able to understand why some people said it was all fables and myths. That is a heck of a lot of fables and myths to be written down on expensive materials like papyrus or clay tablets.

Readjusting a timeline of one history to prove out another is a major victory in proving both.
