Two websites of Osama, al-Qaeda shut down
PESHAWAR, July 29, 2002: Two Arabic language websites supporting Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda have been shut down while a third one is now operating from a new address. The websites, www.jehad.net and www.jihad-online, could not be assessed on Friday and Saturday. The message simply said the page cannot be opened and that it was forbidden. The two websites were a major source of information on Osama and al-Qaeda.
They also carried news, views and comments about other Islamic movements and highlighted the achievements and sacrifices of the Hamas, Islamic Jehad and like-minded groups in Israeli-occupied Palestine, the Chechens fighting Russian troops in Chechnya, and Taliban and their supporters resisting the US and its allied forces in Afghanistan. However, another pro-Osama website, alneda, is still functional. Meaning 'the call', alneda can now be assessed on the address, www.66.132.29.71.
It has struggled to remain online in the face of efforts to track and close it down. It is a fairly resilient website and has emerged as a leading source of information about happenings in Afghanistan and the Arab world. Its addresses have changed from Malaysia to Venezuela and then to Columbia. For a while it claimed to be operating from US President George W Bush's home state, Texas.
The alneda website has been striving to put together whatever information it can regarding Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and other Islamic leaders and organisations. It also displays past Osama interviews and statements. Information about Taliban is also available on the website.
The exclusive Taliban website, www.alemarh.com, is also functional. It is in Arabic and Pashto languages and provides information about Taliban Islamic Movement and its founder Mulla Mohammad Omar. It still is not clear who is operating these websites.

It's clear to me... Alneda is in Ohio at 66.132.29.71, Alemarh is in Nevada at 64.42.19.180. Does someone want to tell the ISPs that they are hosting terrorists or should I do it.

I wouldn't worry about it. The ISPs are gladly pulling these sites down the moment they discover their existence. Unfortunately, as long as people can sign up for "free 1-month trials" and the like, are willing to use stolen credit card numbers, etc, there's no way for an ISP to know what a new subscriber's web space will be used for until he/she puts something on it. It's no different from spammers, except these guys are far more evil.

The websites, www.jehad.net and www.jihad-online, could not be assessed on Friday and Saturday........most likely due to the fact that they couldn't be accessed.

Nuthin, I couldn't get in as admin. Not like I really tried though.

We need a good hacker to hit them with some NASTY VIRUS!The hell with "nasty viruses"!!!! Once they are created, they have a way of spreading WAY beyond their original targets!!!!
Instead, we need the reactivation of the Serbian and Russian hackers' groups that were so active during the 1999 war, and were the bane of NATO and Shiptar sites everywhere!!!!
How good it would be to see each and every one of these evil antichrist jihadist sites, so full of violence and hate, completely immobilized--with the Serb flag and a "you've been hacked" message covering up most of what's left of the home page!!!!
