Thanks for the hearty laughs! This is hysterical! I love the excuses: "I was single...I couldn't cook very well..." So that means you should pork out every night on fast food? LOL!

The aim of the legal action is to force the fast food industry to "offer a larger variety to the consumers, including non-meat vegetarian, less grams of fat, and a reduction of size" of their meals, along with federal legislation that would require warning labels on fast food similar to those on tobacco products, Hirsch said.

I think your law office should have a warning label slapped on it, Mr Hirsch:

"Warning, the Contents Within are Hazardous to Your Personal Freedom"

Get lost, loser.

Probably the same things I did staying at the office overnight from time to time. Good luck, Max!

>>Lettuce is just Nature's way of holding up a plate full of salad dressing and bacon bits.<<

And cheese. You can't possibily be forgetting the cheese.

At least that is how I like my salad. Bacon Bits, Ranch dressing and cheddar cheese. Just like my baked potato!!

McDonald's had their defense already built. Their food has deteriorated so badly in the past 10 years that they could just say, we were trying to make them stop!

What I would do for a decent Big Mac the way they used to make them. And the fries, don't get me started.

The feces they serve now is just plain sad.

King Microwave is just as bad. All they gotta' do is serve the jury their routine product and the jury will kick the suit out by saying "who could be addicted to this sh*t".

Some pencil neck in marketing figured out you can make more by giving the kids trinkets and scraping the food off the floor than you can by serving tasty food.

This guy's picture should be posted in any and every fast-food resturaunt coast to coast with a bold heading saying;

DO NOT SERVE THIS FAT LOP OF S#*T FOR ANY REASON OR FACE PROSECUTION!

Then when ole' lard-butt starts jonesin' for a double bacon cheeseburger, he gonna' find out he's out of luck. This will make him wish he never started this nonsense. He'll just have to get used to making his own KFC from scratch.

I doubt you could file a lawsuit like this in any Communist country. Past or present.

Well you're still running, so carb-loading may be right for you, but for us older, more sedentary types, forget it!

Folks,
I for one am overweight and I love those fast foods.I know in the back of my mind that all those commercials affect me and turn me on to them. But the real fact is I didnt have to eat them. Our government allows these commercials and I dare to say that there is not one commercial out their that doesnt have something in it that is a lie or misleading. It all depends on the meaning and your interpetation of the message.
But saying that why can America not understand that lawyers are controlling this country and draining it dry. That has already happened in our courts.Courts no longer if ever search for the truth. They only give a lawyer a chance to act and put on a play, almost like people in an audience at a movie theatre and reallly thats what it is.The smartest lawyer and the person with the most money wins. It is not about truth and honesty,it is about greed and power.I for one know firsthand.
The system of Justice in America stands for the rich and powerful and lawyers.Lawyers and the Justice System use "The Rule Of Law" concept to keep all of us on the lower rung of the ladder in check. The "Law" very seldom applies to the rich and powerful unless they are at each others throats, with few exceptions. This country has a tremendous class problem that keeps getting swept under the rug because of political leaders and governments ability to keep issues out front that divide us.Folks the problem in America is not race it is a class issue and the powers to be keep us divided.

Everything is in their sights up until they have control of it all and have to go after each other. Then it will become interesting. You can no longer survive in this country without a lawyer,if you do you or a loved one will pay for it in the end.

He's mainly saying that carbs have an important place in a diet (not garbage carbs like you get from sucrose and other sweeteners, though). If I remember correctly, complex carbohydrates (in the appropiate amount of course) are important in the proper metabolizing of proteins.

You're correct about the sucrose and I think one should avoid all sugars (all those fruit drinks that are loaded with fructose).

Carbs play an important part in a well balanced diet, but if one is middle-aged and sedentary carbs should be a very small part of one's diet.

They already have a name for the classless society that you advocate. It is called Communism.

So I guess now your fast food server can refuse to serve you if you're too fat, just like servers in bars are supposed to refuse to serve when you've had too much booze? How PC is that?

If these places had refused him service on the grounds he was too fat, would he have sued them? You can bet your rear he would have!

I wonder if this guy drives around in a Geo Metro.

Ya ever see fat people drive around in really small cars. It really kinda funny. The car tilts to the drivers side, really weighted down. I think they spend so much money on food they can't afford a car that holds all of their lard.

Aristocrat? Yep, that's me, the aristocrat of carpenters.

Sir, I am a tradesman and damn proud to be one.

People will always separate themselves out in some way, whether it is by breeding, money, education or some other criteria. From the very beginings of this country there have been classes and there always will be.

Do you think that George Washington considered Patrick Henry to be his social equal? Washington was an upper class Englishman and Henry was a self-educated backwoods lawyer, a self-made man.

They were political equals as are you and I, but socially they were miles apart.
