"Actual Guilt, Actual Facts, Actual Hypocrisy"

Far be it for me to complain about things when something appears different than what I had previously been told. I know, I know, I get the criticism all the time. "Kevin, you're just so analytical!" ". . . Why do you spend so much time, clarifying the details. . . " Silly, silly, me!

Oh well, forgive me, here I go again...

According to today's Washington Post, Chelsea J. Carter reports that the man who has been arrested in the killing of Samantha Runnion had been previously acquitted of another molesting charge.

Evidently the story goes like this: Alejandro Avila had been on the prowl before. In May of 1999, his ex-girlfriend (with whom Avila had lived), filed for a restraining order accusing Avila of stalking her. In her court statements she states repeatedly, "He has come to my home, my place of work, he is stalking me and follows me around town. . . "

In February of 2000, he was charged with not one, but two counts of lewd and "lascivious" behavior with the 9 year old daughter of his former girlfriend. At the same time he was charged with more "lascivious" behavior with a second girl - also 9 years of age. Following those charges, Avila was said to have threatened the mother of the second girl. These allegations all surfaced when the ex-girlfriend reported that her daughter had been molested from January to March.

It was at this time that the girl was living with her father in the same complex in Stanton California, where the Runnion family now lives. The ex-girlfriend's foster brother said that Avila had visited the girl in Stanton on several occasions in 1998-99.

So how was this guy even out on the street? Because of the expert legal work done by his attorney-at-the-time John Pozza, who brags on his website about the number of his "wins," defending people just like Avila.

A pet peeve of mine? Lawyers who get people off -- who are actually guilty. And let me be even more clear than that -- when I say "actually guilty", what I mean is "Did they do what they are accused of doing?"

My opinion is, "If he did it, put him away." If Pozzo didn't get a "win" for this multi-charged child molester -- Samantha Runnion would still be alive, and innocent today.

By the way, Mr. Pozzo's office number is 909-695-4550.

If that wasn't enough, I picked up today's Chicago Sun Times and read all about Rev. Jesse Jackson's latest speech. The one hour speech was given yesterday. He says he's gonna march, and march, and march some more. Claiming the mantle of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. he said, "We have a right to be heard. We must be heard. And so we will march! It's time to act. Dr. King had to march. We must honor that tradition. We must use the pitter-patter of our marching feet, and go forward."

The only thing I was fuzzy about was - why is he marching. I missed it, something about marching...

The Reverend also went on to say, "The Bush administration has utterly failed the country in civil rights. Despite the public outcry for election reform and campaign finance reform Bush has [done nothing]."

Uh, Reverend, a word with you sir, , "Campaign Finance Reform passed...remember a few weeks ago when conservatives were really upset...I mean, it was a valiant attempt and all, but you better pick a different angle."

But again why should actual facts matter to America today? Because if they did, you would have to ask yourself why we had not heard more about the story in the Washington Times out today. Less than half of high school teens are having sexual intercourse. Virginal teens now outnumber the sexually active ones. Public policy people are pointing to the mid-1990's as the starting point of the decline of teen sexual activity. What happened there? The Federal Government began its "Abstinence Education" funding.

Hey, let's hear it for America. The place where you can still free child molesters and brag about it on your web-site, conduct marches on behalf of legislation that's already been passed (feigning political good of course, and still getting plenty of press while you're at it), and get to gloss over the fact that kids actually are choosing to be more sexually responsible!

Actual guilt? Actual facts? No - we Americans much prefer the spoon feeding of our actual hypocrisy.

I looked up John Pozza's website.... it looks like it's been taken down. Good for Kevin displaying Pozza's website. I'll bet he got a lot of angry calls over that. Lawyers have to be among the sleaziest people on earth.

The first defense was full of crap.

The jury was so full of crap that sh*t ran out of their ears at the same time.

Unless there has been a severe mutation all across the board with mental de-evolution:

NINE YEAR OLD GIRLS AND BOYS KNOW HOW TO WASH THEMSELVES WITHOUT THE "ASSISTANCE" OF ADULT SUPERVISION OR AID.

Hey, folks, Nine year olds means 4TH GRADERS!...And 3rd graders could figure out the ballots in Florida!

What does this tell you?

Letting perverts walk time and time again is a sign of the sickness of the times.

Enforcement of the spirit of the law, not only the letter of the law is at hand.

The Nationalist Socialist attitude of "Well, let's just see about "XXXXX" should be ending as soon as this post.

REPLACE THIS WORTHLESS CONGRESS, ESPECIALLY THE SENATORS WHO THINK THEY ARE KINGS OF THE REALM OR HAVEN'T ANY SPINE.

UNTIL YOU DO, IT WILL BE THE SOS FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER 2 MISERABLE YEARS.

Or you can sit back and just watch it go downhill from here.
