I can't believe this. When I read this I said "this guy Earle is now on my 'beat to death with a 2X4' list", My girlfriend responded "that works".

The modern musician, actor, performer will do anything to further a career and agents, djs, tabloid media and schlock tv, will happily play along. It is the sign of our time and symptomatic of our degredation.

Actually, as has been suggested, it will probably receive wide-spread use at skeet ranges... However, I have another suggestion - we all buy copies, so this Earle guy has more money to buy heroin... then, one day we can find him dead with a needle in his arm... ;0)

Pathetic. Anything for "15 minues of fame". I've never heard of him and I'm an avid CW fan. Sicko first class.

It could be... hwever, there are plenty of images out there of people jumping from the burning WTC... print out a few hundred full color copies, and glue them to the CD cases - not that I'm advocating something like that or anything...

Earle is currently in Europe and could not be reached for comment. But he told an audience at the Mariposa Folk Festival in Ontario, Canada, this month: "This song just may get me f---ing deported."
Much more likely to get him above the fold in the NYTimes. And that's really what this is about, isn't it?
Don't know what you're using pal, but it's no good for ya...

there goes my earle cd collectionI am one of the few people who actually buys every Steve Earle CD.
No more.
Given how few fans this guy already has that probably means his record sales just dropped by 50 percent.
To: GWELO
Earle just shot himself in the butt, goodbye. He will propably sell 2 copiesI wish you were right but with 40% of America being hard core leftists I think the "in crowd" of liberals will buy it as an "in your face" gesture.
