[history]
Three armed and masked men, one wearing a blond wig and miniskirt, shot a customer during an attempted midday bank robbery Tuesday in the heart of downtown East Hartford.
The men escaped in a red Corvette convertible. About an hour later, the Corvette, parked in an open-air parking garage on Collins Street in Hartford, exploded in flames, sending tenants fleeing into the street.

Three armed and masked men, one wearing a blond wig and miniskirt... This isn't the same guy wearing the "Dolly Parton" wig and a red skirt posing as a girl scout on another thread, is it?

Three armed and masked men, one wearing a blond wig and miniskirt, I wonder if he had the legs for it.

"Three armed and masked men, one wearing a blond wig and miniskirt.." "..looking in trashcans and talking to potential witnesses.."
"I heard the boom right underneath me.."
"Calderon, whose car was destroyed in the blaze.."
Welcome to Bizarro World.

"
"The first guy had a double-barreled shotgun pointed right at me," said Green.Who are we going to believe in this article? The nursing student across the street who saw machine guns or the guy who had a shotgun pointed at his face? I guess the editor had to push his agenda.

If three adults can get into a Corvette, then maybe they should be looking for the same "clowns" that were reported a day or two previous here at FR.

"I heard the boom right underneath me," said Incarnacion Calderon, whose car was destroyed in the blaze. "I just got finished paying for that car and now it's ruined." Hope she didn't rush out to cancel her collision and comp coverage the day she mailed out that last payment...

About an hour later, the Corvette, parked in an open-air parking garage on Collins Street in Hartford, exploded in flames, sending tenants fleeing into the street. What a strange sentence.
How many tenants typically live in an open-air parking garage?
Or were these people actually tenants who were living in the Corvette?

If three adults can get into a Corvette... My first thought was "How?" Must have been real cozy. Not my first choice for a three man getaway car.

My thoughts also...and did the guy in the mini-skirt straddle the gearshift?

Amateur hour at the local bank. Steal a 'Vette (as opposed to something inconspicuous), shoot a patron, get no money, and leave a blazing fire on your getaway path. Geez.
