Woman, 3 kids dead in Parker County shooting

A woman and her three children are dead and a man wounded in shootings in Parker County.

The incident was reported around 2 p.m. Tuesday. It happened in the small town of Hudson Oaks, west of Fort Worth.

Deputies say they responded to a call that a woman had shot her children.

Witnesses said a wounded man broke through a window at the Parker County residence and sought assistance.

The man, a 17-year veteran of the Fort Worth Fire Department, is in critical condition at a Fort Worth hospital. He suffered a a gunshot wound to the back, a Fire Department spokesman said.

I'll grant that they have to be both fast and careful when reporting breaking news, but this article was written pretty badly. I had to read it three times before I was sure I understood the sequence of events.

perhaps because motherhood, the value of life, and personal responsibility have all been undermined by the left, and ALLOWED to be undermined by much of the right.

I worked with this guy for 7 years. He was just promoted to Captain, which gets him his own station. The report I just got was that she evidently flipped and killed the kids and left. He got there found them and started to try to work them and called 911 foir help. She returned and started firing at him and got him as he broke out a window to escape. Thats all third hand through the grapevine of a Fire Department so can't be considered fact.

One thing for sure. This is a man of good character that deeply loved his children.

Just received new info. Another man I work with now is his good friend. He says they were going through a divorce, that he asked for, due to her being unstable. They were supposed to be in round two of mediation this morning and she didn't show. He went to the house and found the kids in their pajamas already dead. She came around the corner and shot him in the back, then shot herself. He crawled to the phone and called for help.

Yeah, I read it a second time too. Pretty short.
It sounds like the man may not make it - critical condition. I wonder if they
were able to get anything out of him regarding what happened? I'll have to
try to check out the local news.

No real update. He is still in critical condition at Harris hospital in Fort Worth.

The latest is that she had missed the final appearance in court for the divorce.

Manny had just gotten off his shift and gone to court, then the house where she shot him. He had found the kids already dead.

I'll learn more at work today I'm sure.
