"For whatever reasons I can't begin to understand, it seems America has willingly handed over its entire culture to a small handfull of homos, atheists, marxists, and miscellaneous radical lunatics. How did this happen?"

BWAHAHA. Talk about FReepin' delusional...

And Homosexual theology is based on Jesus riding an ass into Jerusalem.
(I refuse to refer to that perversion as gay)

One of the fastest growing churches among homosexuals in America and around the world is the Metropolitan Community Church – a "Christian" church specifically for "gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered communities."

Wow, are they misguided. They should have chosen the muslim cult that was founded by a homosexual thief rapist. They could get on their knees 3 or 5 times a day and pray to a meteorite while they gaze at each other butts. Even their cult meeting places would have phallic symbols already in place. Another plus would be that they get to treat women like animals.

I'm sorry but I can't read all of your post. I keep laughing out loud and drawing stares from the people around me.

The SADs will reach for any straw to get approval won't they.

the color purple is often used in connection with royalty, or suffering and passion, or transformation and magic. It is the color which Jesus wore to the cross. Does the color purple also have gay and lesbian connotations in the bible and in Christian liturgical tradition?

Wasn't it the color for royalty? The soldiers placed it on him in mockery. He probably wore what the Roman soldiers forced him to wear.

As to your other comments, I will have to give them some more thought.

Since it entered my consciousness, I can't understand why John put his head on Jesus' breast. Maybe that culture was not as uptight about such things as we are, I would like a rational explanation for it.

#1) You're either gay or you're not. The writer states he is a man "who formerly lived as a homosexual." So he starts out either lying or is deluded.

But you're assuming that "you're either gay or you're not" is a true statement. Some folks have a different view of how one goes queer. Who has been proven, without a doubt, CORRECT? Not you. Homosexuality is a huge toe-trample for alot of the religious right, and it's just plain RUDE to try to shove the homosexual agenda up the RR's collective a$$. Hell, folks are suing over their rights not to be offended every day in this country. What about conservatives, huh?

#2) I've been to an MCC Church here locally on several occassions. (The congregation is mostly gay, but there are also quite a few "straight" members.) I have never heard anyone suggest that Jesus (or any of his desciples) was gay.

That doesn't mean that someone somewhere ain't preaching it. Hell, I heard a man stand up and yak for two solid hours, in an academic enviro with folks taking him dead seriously, about how Jesus was a vegan. Non-lacto, or whatever the hell they call it, and all.

Just another hate-filled load of crap trying to disguise itself as a loving Christian concern.

Characteristic of a true Christian is hating sin, but loving the sinner, unlike other folks, including alot of gays I've noticed... I noticed nothing "hate-filled" in the above article being directed at individuals. You're projecting.

You can't reason with some folks, like that vegan-preaching whack-job I mentioned above... Audience members lobbed queries at him like "what about the bread and the fishes?" and he would hem and haw and wriggle his way through some tortuous explanation like "oh some texts don't say 'fish'..."

Most people are so caught up in their own petty grievances and delusions, they can't see anything else.

If you ever see him again, lob this one at him:

Matthew 9:10
And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

I tried that on one of those Jesus-was-a-vegan freaks, and he shut right up after stammering that Jesus must have let the publicans and sinners have all the meat. Even he knew how lame that was. :D

Bwahaha... Well a bud of mine from local running club (some fruits and nuts, but well-meaning folks) that I'm in, invited me, so I showed up with a bottle of Jack Daniels in my book bag. Fifteen minutes into the talk, I was hittin' it. Some folks would get into it with this guy, but I saw that there was no use wasting my breath so I just drank and let him blather on, pulling things out of his a$$ to further his pseudo-academic argument...

condemning the rich etc.

I believe Jesus only condemns greedy folks, as it pertains to wealth.

The Bible is full of errors, from being copied, recopied and translated over and over again?

Why does this "church" piggyback on Christianity ant at the same time attack the validity of the Bible? This "church" cuts its legs off the make a point. Idiots.

But I'd guess I know quite a bit more about it than you.

And you'd have the corner on the market how, because you're gay?

And since I'm straight that makes you more knowledgable about sexual orientation how? Get off yer high horse. Everybody's special.

Which of my posts were you addressing with that?

You called the article a "hate-filled load of crap" and I informed you that all of the highlighted points came from the MCC's own web site. It's not my fault that some of things are hilariously funny. I didn't write them.

Personally I have less of a problem with homosexuality than I do with this ridiculous attempt to force Scripture through a gay template. It's just dishonest. And pitiable at the same time, that some would need affirmation SO badly that they'd be willing to contort their brains sufficiently to believe any of this.
