Great transcript of Rita Crosby's interview with the mother of the girl being "harmed" by the words "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.

If the mom wants her daughter to utter those words, let her find the time of day for her daughter to say it. It's not the government's job.

Saying "under God" in the Pledge does not "establish" a religion. There is nothing unconstitutional about it. But in case you do think it does establish a religion, please explain to me what this "government established religion" that is based by the phrase "under God" is like. This government-established "under God" religion has been around for about 50 years and I don't believe that there has been any kind of worship meeting yet, nor has there been any kind of designation of leadership or any kind of rules. Someone out there has done a real poor job of getting this thing going!

On the other hand, taking "under God" out of the Pledge can be construed as restricting the freedom of religion (ie it implies that it is illegal to mention "God").

The obvious difference in this situation is that if you didn't say the words 'Under Allah', you would most assuredly be harmed...as in either stoned to death or decapitated.

Our Constitution restricts our Government from establishing a religion, thus guaranteeing "freedom of religion"...not "freedom from religion" as the atheists and other liberals would have us endure. If saying the words 'Under God' bother you, then don't say them, but do not deny the rest of us what we believe is important to proclaim.

This girl was not "harmed" The father lied about it. He may have been "harmed", but he wasn't forced to say it. Therfor the case should be thrown out.
I remember, thar the Jane Doe case was a lie in the case which made it legal to have an abortion.

Telling the world he thought his daughter harmed and failing to mention that his daughter is a church-going Christian.

Under God is somewhat generic isn't? While under Allah is very specific.
Muslims, Jews and Christians and a bunch of cult members can say the words "Under God" without denying their faith.
