Are you harmed by the words 'Under Allah'? But would you want to say them?

"Are you harmed by the words 'Under Allah'? But would you want to say them?"

The obvious difference in this situation is that if you didn't say the words 'Under Allah', you would most assuredly be harmed...as in either stoned to death or decapitated.

Our Constitution restricts our Government from establishing a religion, thus guaranteeing "freedom of religion"...not "freedom from religion" as the atheists and other liberals would have us endure. If saying the words 'Under God' bother you, then don't say them, but do not deny the rest of us what we believe is important to proclaim.

Under God is somewhat generic isn't? While under Allah is very specific.
Muslims, Jews and Christians and a bunch of cult members can say the words "Under God" without denying their faith.

If our pledge said "under Allah," that would be a recognition and perhaps the establishment of Islam as the formal religion of America. The fact that the pledge says "under God," and the term "God" is fairly generic, it tells us nothing about the nature or character of God, or what his name is (is it Allah, or Jesus, or Vishnu, or Jehovah?) It tells us nothing about our obligation (if any) to this God. It tells us nothing about the moral character of this God. Hence, as worded in the pledge, it is not the establishment of any religion. But it is a recognition that our nation was founded by people who acknowledged the hand of Providence in its founding. This acknowledgement is a historical fact, not a metaphysical leap of faith.

What do you want, an eight year old being interviewed by some vicious liberal like Dan Rather?

Of course I would be because there is no "Allah"! There is a God and He is Christ. That is what makes the difference.

Allah is the arabic word for God. Considering that we live in an English speaking country, we say God. If we were a French speaking country we'd say Dieu, if we were an Italian speaking country, we'd say Dio, if we were a German speaking country, we'd say Gott.

As a Christian, I know in my heart and soul what I mean when I say God. My Jewish friends know in their heart and soul what they mean when they say God.

Our Founders did not write the Constitution in such esoteric language that it would not be understood by the 'common man'. Establishment of a religion simply means that there would be no Church of America. It's just that simple. It's not the Constitution in error here. It's the miscontrued laws that a liberal culture has imposed over the last 40 years that has distorted the Establishment intent beyond recognition.
