"
They also said Bin Laden would not appear in a video and just speak words. He will make another appearance only after his people attack the Americans again," he said."
He better be holding the New York Post refferring to the atack (if any) otherwise its a relic taping from 2 yrs ago to me.

Now they are admitting he was hit. Bin Laden is as dead as a doornail.

I think that even if we recovered his corpse, tested his DNA and put it on display at the Smithsonian, 50 years from now there will still be tabloids with "bin Laden still alive, living in South America" stories just like the ones about Hitler. Usama's dead. The last video he made post 9/11, where he looked like he was nearly dead, was just that....the last one. Anything "new" that comes out will be one that was made years ago.

Yep, that's what I think, too. If he were alive, he'd be all over the news, thumbing his nose at the US. That sucker is pushing up daisies, alright.

Osaaaammmmmaaaaa!!! Come out, come out wherever you are!!!

If he were alive, he'd be broadcasting videos to the loyal followers.
If he were recently demised, they'd have him wired like Howdy Doody and make it appear he is speaking to the loyal followers.
Bin Laden as already met his Allah. These reports are attempts to keep the loyal followers in line. The operative word in Osama bin Laden is bin=been.

Now they are admitting he was hit. Bin Laden is as dead as a doornail. Reminds me of the old joke:
Caller: How's the dog?
Housesitter: She fell off the roof and died. Caller: What! Geez, don't you have the sense to lead up to something like this to lessen the shock? First, tell me she's off the roof, then that she fell off the roof, then that the vet doesn't expect her to make it, and then break it to me that she's dead.
Anyway, how's Mom?
Housesitter: She's on the roof....

Given his ego and his bad health I don't think if he were alive he would have the patience to wait for a video. There could only be two reasons, he's dead, or he looks so ill that it would hurt Al Queda recruitment efforts.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
He's dead. They say he is alive, because someone is still using his money.

I really start to get the impression that our campaign in Afghanistan was really a lot more succesful than we figure it was. I bet they really didn't think we'd invade that country. They were probably banking on another impotent show of force like Clinton did. I would imagine clamping down on their assets in banks and what not didn't help 'em too much either. They probably used most of their best men on 9/11, a lot more of their best men have been killed or captured and they're down to the dregs of their org and the bumbling fools.
We'll see.

The battle for Balkh (Mazar-e Sharif) and Konduz cost the Al Qaida dearly. Thousands were trapped in the North and were blocked from retreating to the Pakistan borderlands. Western media, which seems to feed on anything that smacks of failure and/or the appearance of a knock-out blow to AQ, now seems determined to keep Osama alive. This should play into the hands of the mujahideen, but doesn't. The Muslims know that OBL is dead.

"If he's alive we'll get him, if he's dead we got him". Yep, it leads to the only two options that the terrorists can come to.
-He's dead and that proves he wasn't as all-powerful as they were led to believe. Especially given the short amount of time it took to off him.
or
-He's alive, and by the simple fact he refuses to show his face, he proves himself to be a hideous, craven coward. Hardly someone to look up to.
There was a news report a few months ago from a Pakistani town that items with OBL's likeness on them, previously very popular and expenisve, couldn't be given away anymore.
Even if he is alive and eventually shows his face, he's damaged beyond repair.

items with OBL's likeness on them, ... couldn't be given away anymore. There's an indoor pistol range a few miles from my house that's doing a booming business in one particular item with OBL's likeness on it...

Agreed. These guys couldn't tell the truth if their lives depended on it. Who's the one that choose Dec. 13th on the watch list? Bin laden has been dead since then for sure.

I really enjoyed UBL's parable of the strong horse. Now he's the subject of his own 'parable of the dead horse', which have you got your money on?

"If he's alive we'll get him, if he's dead we got him"....another of President Bush's great, but not quoted by leftist media, statements.
